Demi Moore and Bruce Willis constantly made headlines that speculated trouble in paradise throughout their marriage. As predicted by many, the duo eventually parted ways. They now have an unconventional relationship as former spouses, which has raised eyebrows.

Actors Demi Moore and Bruce Willis first crossed paths at a film premiere in 1987, starting a whirlwind romance. The pair wed four months later after falling pregnant with their first child.

While married, the "Ghost" and "Die Hard" stars were followed by rumors that they were parting ways. Moore revealed to Vanity Fair that those speculations would not stop until they became true.

When Moore and Willis got together, Moore was already a big star in her own right. But she claimed that was an issue for her spouse, who wanted her to be a stay-at-home mom to their children by quitting her acting career.

The New Mexico native said the now-retired actor was "controlling," whereas she wanted to do whatever she wanted. When she landed her most significant role for the 1990 film, "Ghost," Moore revealed what Willis said to her at the time:

"I don't know if I want to be married."

Taken aback by that confession, the mother of three told her then-husband to leave the marriage, but he could not bear the thought of abandoning his family. At the same time, he would not commit to their relationship either, as his career took off by then while hers remained stagnant.

Consequently, the couple spent less time together and later announced their separation in 1998, after which reports stated that the pair had been "leading independent lives for some time." A producer who worked with Willis and Moore disclosed that they were having problems for two years before their split.

In addition, there had been rumors of infidelity from both parties. Willis had previously admitted that being married to one person was something he struggled with though he did not comment on the allegations.

Meanwhile, his wife always knew how much he loved their brood but somehow was not too sure about his commitment to their marriage, claiming she sensed he had been unfaithful. In her autobiography, "Inside Out," Moore wrote:

"I think both of us from the outset were more passionate about having kids than we were about being married."

SUPER CLOSE BLENDED FAMILY AFTER DIVORCE

Moore and Willis' divorce got finalized in 2000, but they remained close over the years as friends and continued to love each other even though they moved on with other people.

Moore got hitched to actor Ashton Kutcher in 2005, but the pair divorced six years later in 2011. Willis also remarried and wed model Emma Heming in 2009 in a romantic ceremony in Turks and Caicos, and they are still together to date.

Despite the exes' divorce following 13 years of matrimony, Willis admitted to the Daily Mail in June 2007 that there was still love between him and Moore:

"I love Demi, and I know she loves me."

When asked what went wrong in their marriage during an interview with Rolling Stone in December 2000, Willis, who shares two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, with his wife Heming, revealed that he and the brunette beauty grew apart.

The father of five explained that they tried to keep their union intact even under difficult circumstances, noting that because their marriage was so public, it made things harder to keep it together.

Willis also admitted that he had yet to figure out what happened between them but that they still had kids to still raise together:

"We're probably as close now as we ever were. We realize we have a lifelong commitment to our kids."

In May 2020, the German native and Moore showed how tight-knit they were when they quarantined together with their adult daughters, Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout, amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The family cooped up under one roof in Sun Valley, Idaho, where they participated in several family bonding activities, including wearing matching onesie pajamas.

In March 2022, the Willis family received life-changing news when the "Unbreakable" star was diagnosed with Aphasia.

According to Mayo Clinic, "Aphasia is a condition that robs you of the ability to communicate. It can affect your ability to speak, write, and understand language, both verbal and written."

A source revealed to Page Six that the A-lister was having cognitive issues while filming his recent movies on set. "He was having cognitive problems. Everybody knew, the cast and crew. His family has stepped in. They moved in to take care of him," said the insider.

When the family announced his diagnosis on social media, they also revealed that Willis would be retiring from his decades-long-acting career.

The loved ones noted how they were going through a challenging time but appreciated the outpouring of love and support from fans, stating, "We are moving through this as a strong family unit."

Since the diagnosis, Moore has stood by her former husband and became his strong support system along with his spouse Heming and all their children.

During the same period of Willis' suffering, Moore was reportedly secretly dating a man named Daniel Humm who was 13 years younger than her.

Humm is an acclaimed chef from Switzerland who emigrated to the US not speaking any English with only a few dollars in his pocket. He now runs a New York restaurant called Eleven Madison Park and The NoMad eatery, including Davies and Brooke at Claridge's in London.

Page Six reported that he and Moore had been dating for a few months before Willis' devastating diagnosis was made public. A source revealed to the outlet:

"They are really hot and heavy at the moment. Daniel works long, hard hours at his restaurant Eleven Madison Park, but they often take time to have Demi join him for romantic dinners there."

People reported in March 2022 that the lovebirds were spotted earlier that month sitting front row at Chloe's Fall/Winter 2022 runway show for Paris Fashion Week.

In April 2022, a source exclusively revealed to Us Weekly that Moore and Humm met through mutual friends and hit it off instantly, sharing how they had some things in common:

"They clicked right away. He's very charming, loves the finer things in life, and is extremely cultured, plus they share the same devilish sense of humor and sense of adventure."

The cookbook author gushed about his love on Instagram in May 2022, saying the "G.I. Jane" star was "beyond inspiring" and thanking her for "being such a great teacher." The heartfelt message accompanied a black and white photo of the couple with their pet dog.

When the news of a relationship between the two made headlines, neither Moore nor Humm confirmed or denied it. However, in June 2022, the "Striptease" star went Instagram official with the award-winning restaurateur confirming they were indeed a couple.

Moore posted an image and videos of the pair at the 2022 French Open finals. She also shared photos of the couple sitting on a staircase outdoors, with Humm giving her a forehead kiss.

Another snap showed the duo posing on the lawn while holding hands alongside their pup, Pilaf. The starlet captioned the post: "Visiting the palace of kings and queens." Humm reshared Moore's post on his own Instagram Story but she still has not commented on their alleged romance.
