Erika Jayne's son, Tommy Zizzo, lives a private life due to the nature of his job. However, the reality star sometimes shares details about Zizzo, with whom she has a good relationship.

Tommy Zizzo is famously known for being the son of singer Erika Jayne, known for her hit single "Rollercoaster" and Broadway production "Chicago."

Unlike his mother, Zizzo maintained a very private life due to his professional career. Nevertheless, he supports his mother's dream of being part of the entertainment industry, which she wanted at a young age.

Jayne pursued her passion when Zizzo was only a teen, making him old enough to understand what life was like under the spotlight.

Born Thomas Zizzo Jr. in 1994, Jayne shares her only son with her ex-husband Thomas Zizzo. She was only 21 years old when she gave birth and had to raise her son alone. The singer's son lives a prestigious career as a police officer in California.

Zizzo graduated from the Los Angeles Police Department Academy and became an explorer at the Jersey City Police Activity League. Jayne said in an interview:

"It's a dangerous profession. I've known my son was going to be in law enforcement from the time he could walk and talk. That's all he's ever wanted, and that's kind of your role as a parent, is to honor who your children really are."

Admittedly, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star fears for her son's life, knowing that the nature of his job puts him at risk. Nevertheless, she is proud of the man Zizzo has become.

Because of his profession, Zizzo stays away from the spotlight and has not appeared on his mom's television show. Still, he remains close to Jayne and lives with her and her husband, Tom Girardi, in Pasadena. She said, as reported by Your Tango:

"It's not weird [that people are interested in him]. I'm sure that they're curious because the only thing that they see is this thing, but I am a mother. My son does live with me. He is a police officer, and he will remain off-camera."

Zizzo has no interest in appearing on television as well. "He's in a dangerous line of work," she said. "He prefers his anonymity as much as possible, and I agree with that."

However, there were rare instances where the reality star posted about his son online, including a throwback photo from their trip to Tanzania years ago. Jayne encouraged her followers to travel with their kids in the post, indicating that she was fond of traveling with her family before.

Although they don't get to travel as much nowadays due to their busy schedules, the doting mom is happy to have her son under her roof. When they are all at home, they get to bond as a family.

In 2020, Jayne shared another rare glimpse of her son on Instagram in his police uniform and claimed they had a strong resemblance.

Jayne undoubtedly takes pride in being Zizzo's mom, especially since he is an essential worker. "He's out there working like every other man and woman," she said. However, she admitted being protective of her son's privacy as she chose a public career. Jayne said:

"He didn't choose this life. I chose this life, and we try to protect him. I don't care if he's an adult and he carries a gun and badge. At the end of the day, he's still my boy."

Unfortunately, Jayne can't protect her son all the time. In one incident, Zizzo reportedly had a car accident while he was on his way to check up on his stepfather following an alleged burglary.

According to reports, the burglar entered Girardi's Pasadena home but left without confrontation. Since there was no CCTV footage in their home and the authorities had no leads, the case was suspended.

Girardi is Jayne's second husband after marrying Thomas from 1991 to 1996. Although there is not much information about him, Thomas was reportedly a DJ by profession at a Manhattan club.

Despite their relationship starting on the right foot, the pair struggled to save their relationship. Eventually, they agreed to have a divorce and moved on with their lives.

Jayne walked down the aisle again in 2000 to marry Girardi, the co-founder of Girardi & Keese law firm. Jayne announced their separation in 2020, but it remains unknown if the two officially called it off.

Although her son was still young when she remarried, Jayne had her own parenting style while raising Zizzo. She had to move to Los Angeles for a while to make ends meet while her son was left in New York. She said:

"Putting my son first was what moving was all about. If I was going to take care of him and provide the future for him that I wanted, I knew that I had to get away and find a better life and a more sustainable existence for myself."

Zizzo studied in New York but had spring break and summers in California. However, Jayne made it a point to be in New York for every important occasion in her son's life, including any parent-teacher conference, school play, and graduation.

Jayne was a relatively laidback mom and tried to understand all of her son's choices deeply. Fortunately, Zizzo had great taste in women and would only bring home partners with a good upbringing.

Jayne's life was certainly full of ups and downs, and even when she entered show business, the singer had to deal with controversies. However, she never let her problems affect her family.
