Bradley Cooper's Kid Is His 'Primary Focus' & He Said Daughter Reminds Him of Late Dad Who Died in His Arms
Bradley Cooper has a daughter who looks very much like his late father. His love for her is well known, and because of her, he tried to make things work with her mother; however, they eventually went their separate ways. Here are details about his bond with his daughter.
Bradley Cooper is one of the most family-oriented celebrities out there today. In 2011 after filming "The Hangover Part II," he took a flight home to care for his father, Charles J. Cooper, who was fighting lung cancer.
Bradley had been taking care of him before he had to go to Thailand to film. When he returned to his side, he took Charles to an Eagles game, and a couple of weeks later, Bradley held him as he watched him die.

For him, it was a life-changing experience, and according to the actor, the effects were instantaneous. After his dad passed on, Bradley affiliated with organizations like Stand Up 2 Cancer to track down a cure for the debilitating illness.
Bradley has been very vocal about how difficult it was to lose his dad. However, in one interview, he admitted how lucky he felt to have been able to put everything on hold to cater to his needs before death came knocking.

Given his status, he had more than enough resources to treat his disease; however, the award-winning actor tagged the entire process of getting his dad's cancer as "overwhelming, incredibly stressful, complex and all-consuming."
It made him realize how much worse it must be for those less fortunate than he is. Charles greatly influenced Bradley's life, and the two shared a close bond.
He even opened up about moments he used to have while she was a child that would make him wonder if she was his "dad."

Even after his demise, the Oscar nominee once confessed that Charles still enters his dreams from time to time, and the way he put it seemed to imply that it was something he wanted to happen. After his father passed on, Bradley had his mom move in with him as they both dealt with the grief.
In a past interview, he revealed that her moving in was the best option as they needed each other to overcome the vacuum Charles left behind. It was not a difficult decision because, according to him, his mother is a "cool chick" who knows how to "roll with the punches."
HE IS ALSO A DOTING FATHER

On March 21, 2017, Bradley welcomed his daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk. The pair started dating in April 2015 but kept things under wraps for almost a year before going public.
When he became a father, one of Bradley's dreams came true. He had always wanted to have a family of his own, with a child he could dote over, so when she arrived, the experience made him focused, making him even more "present."

Bradley is one of the proud fathers of Hollywood, and he has been known to spend copious amounts of time with his daughter. In 2019, he received many award nominations for his role in "A Star is Born," but after the award season, he chose to spend more time with Irina and their daughter.
Years after they started dating, Bradley's relationship with Irina started unraveling despite his dedication to their family. In 2019, rumors that they were breaking up started spreading, but they kept trying to save it.

A source told E! News that sometimes things would get better, but after some time, they would go back to wondering if it would not be better to end what they had.
The source also revealed that apart from the history they had between them, their daughter, whom they desperately loved, was the only thing keeping them together.
THEY CHOSE TO CO-PARENT

Bradley and Irina held out in their relationship for four years before choosing to go their separate ways. Following their split, the pair chose to remain cordial, and they amicably worked out how to share custody of their daughter, Lea De Seine.
Despite his busy schedule and Irina's work demands, the pair could work out a suitable arrangement that allowed them to spend as much time as possible with their daughter. An insider revealed in 2021 that their co-parenting efforts were going splendidly and that they were still on good terms.

Regardless of their status in the world of entertainment and fashion, one thing rings true for both of them, and Irina put it simply, saying:
"When I'm with my daughter, I'm 100 percent a mother, and when she's with her dad, he's 100 percent her dad."

Bradley Cooper is known for many great movies, but despite all that fame, he only has one primary focus — his daughter. After her, his love for his mother comes next.
The same goes for Irina, but after Lea, her other primary focus is usually the modeling job she is working on at a particular time. Bradley received a lot of love from his parents as a child, and he wanted to replicate the same childhood for his daughter.

In an old interview before he became a father, Bradley admitted that he was sorry that his father would not be around to see his grandchildren.
In 2019, he sat down with Oprah Winfrey for the famous mogul's "SuperSoul Conversations" from Times Square in New York City and spoke about how incredible his daughter was and confessed that he sees his father in her very often.
He even opened up about moments he used to have while she was a child that would make him wonder if she was his "dad" because of the close resemblance she shares with him.
He also talked about how having a family changed everything for her. It's 2022 now, but Bradley's feelings for his daughter have not changed.
