Doja Cat’s Boyfriends Remain a Mystery - The Singer’s Reported Dating History through the Years
Since her rise to fame, Doja Cat has kept her dating profile private. Her love life remains a mystery to fans, although she has been linked to some past artists, many of whom she addressed.
Born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini on October 21, 1995, Doja Cat was born to a painter and actor. She began releasing songs on SoundCloud and later pursued a singing career with RCA Records, with whom she signed a record deal at 17.
At a young age, Dlamini achieved fame and has several accolades under her belt, including three Grammy Award nominations and two American Music Award wins. She also snagged the MTV Video Music Award for Push Best New Artist.
Besides her music, many have taken an interest in her social media accounts, including TikTok and Youtube. Her dating life has especially kept fans interested, and while she rarely confirms her romantic relationships, there are a lot of speculations about her love life.
2019 - 2020
Since becoming a pop icon, Dlamini has only had one public relationship with singer Jawny, formerly Johnny Utah. He caught Dlamini's eye shortly after releasing his breakout single, "Honeypie," in April 2019. Although she didn't like the song, something about Utah struck her.
"I found his music video for 'Honeypie,' and I didn't like the song," she said. "But I liked the way [Utah] moved. I don't know. It was your pants. I was like, 'Oh, I like your pants.'"
Their relationship, however, was short-lived, and by February 2020, the couple called it quits. Dlamini opened up to her fans about her relationship and breakup during an Instagram live. "Everything is okay," she revealed. "I unfollowed my ex-boyfriend, and everything is okay. We have been cool. No drama."
In 2021, Dlamini had fans believing that she was dating British rapper Bree Runway. Runway posted a series of photos with Dlamini on Instagram, where the duo looked cozy beside each other.

However, their relationship did not go without a music collaboration. Dlamini was featured in one of Utah's singles, "Anything You Want," which was, unfortunately, not released on his album. Despite their split's impact on his music, they remained on good terms. He said:
"She did the backing harmonies that sound really awesome at the end of the song. [...] When we split, we were like, 'I don't think this feature makes sense because we're not dating anymore.'"
The breakup was undoubtedly difficult, especially since it affected Utah's career. Nevertheless, they have no hard feelings toward each other. "I have massive respect for her, and I believe she does for me," he said.
2020 and 2022
It only took a few months for Dlamini to be linked to another musician. Dlamini was linked to French Montana in 2020 after the two were spotted hanging out together. However, the artist quickly shut down rumors and revealed they were working on a track together, hence the closeness. She said:
"Me and French got a song coming out. [Expletive] relax."
The pair were seen together in the Bahamas in 2022, but only to attend his lawyer, Adam Zia's birthday celebration. Other A-list celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian, Tyga, and Pete Davidson, were also present. According to Dlamini's manager, the "Kiss Me More" songstress was also there for work.
2021
In 2021, Dlamini had fans believing that she was dating British rapper Bree Runway. Runway posted a series of photos with Dlamini on Instagram, where the duo looked cozy beside each other and posed sweetly. She wrote:
"You know I'm crazy about my WOMANNNN!"
Runway also shared snaps of Dlamini while on a dinner date and posted them on Twitter alongside a ring emoji. The "Say So" singer also shared her photos and announced, "I have a girlfriend, and I'm going public."
While filming, someone behind the scenes called Dlamini "babe," making her shut down the stream immediately. Dlamini has yet to reveal who the mystery man is and if she is in a relationship with him.
The pair never confirmed or denied their relationship status, although their photographs and posts seemed to be only for enjoyment.
2022
The following year, Dlamini was linked to Youtuber and singer Joji after she tweeted, "joji wyd y doing," prompting dating speculation. However, Dlamini shut down the rumors through another Instagram live session. She said:
“No, I’m not dating Joji. Is there a rumor? Who said that? [...] Not that he's not cute. Did he say something?"
Dlamini told her followers to leave Joji alone and encouraged them to stream his music instead. "In the context of me, leave that man alone," she added.

WHO IS SHE CURRENTLY DATING – A MAN WHO CALLED HER BABE ON IG LIVE
Dlamini's dating life remains a big mystery amongst fans, and it is unknown whether she is currently dating anyone. However, fans speculated about a new man in her life in February 2022 while she was doing an Instagram Live.
While filming, someone behind the scenes called Dlamini "babe," making her shut down the stream immediately. Dlamini has yet to reveal who the mystery man is and if she is in a relationship with him. Until then, it remains a speculation.
Apart from her love life, Dlamini is vocal about other things, including her sentiments on specific issues. Previously, the "Streets" crooner had a Twitter outburst over a magazine photoshoot that she disliked.
She shared the photo of herself taken during the shoot, which she did not like, and wondered why the magazine's editors did not take it up with her before publishing the pictures. Dlamini was photographed wearing leopard-printed undergarments while putting on a pair of denim jeans. She wrote:
"I wonder why magazines don't allow the people they shot to approve pictures. I don't think I'll ever get used to this, and I'm low key done doing mag shoots.
Dlamini's fans left their sentiments on social media, agreeing with the singer's thoughts. Others encouraged her to do something about the situation and suggested different action points.
Dlamini has drawn the attention of millions with her different albums and songs, including "Hot Pink" and "Amala." Specifically, her 2019 single "Say So" made it to the Top 10 US Billboard 200 and became a certified multi-platinum.
In 2020, she collaborated with Ariana Grande to produce "Motive." She was featured on Grande's song remix alongside Megan Thee Stallion, making her second Billboard Hot 100 song on the top ten list. Another success followed when her song, "Kiss Me More," featuring SZA, made it to the Billboard list again.
