Salsa artist Marc Anthony has had a rollercoaster ride in relationships. Anthony has wed three times and decided to get hitched for the fourth time with a woman younger than most of his older kids.

American songwriter Marc Anthony announced his engagement to former Miss Universe contestant Nadia Ferreira in May 2022. The pair were at a party at Sexy Fish restaurant in Miami, Florida, when he asked for her hand in marriage.

The exciting news came just three months after the couple went Instagram official. Ferreria posted a snapshot of her giant diamond ring on her Instagram Story.

The model revealed the bash was to celebrate her 23rd birthday and that the events leading up to their engagement included dining and partying on a boat with friends. Unbeknown to her, her then-boyfriend popped the big question that evening.

Anthony and Ferreira first sparked romance rumors while they were on a getaway to Mexico City. The duo became Instagram official on March 19, 2022, with the "Mala" singer posting a photo of the couple on a plane. Ferreira and Anthony have yet to discuss the details of their wedding day.

This is Anthony's fourth significant relationship, so the singer has come a long way in finding happiness. His previous serious relationships will be discussed further down below.

Anthony has had a series of romantic relationships that resulted in having children with multiple women. He once dated Debbie Rosado in the early '90s, who worked as a New York police officer when she met him.

Rosado and Anthony welcomed a daughter together named Ariana, who made him a first-time dad in 1994. Per Panorama, Rosado already had a son named Chase when she first crossed paths with Anthony, whom she adopted. However, the couple parted ways, and details surrounding their breakup remain unknown.

Anthony later met Puerto Rican actress Dayanara Torres, whom he wed in Las Vegas in 2000. The couple welcomed two kids: Cristian in 2001 and Ryan in 2003.

The musician and the beauty queen had a rocky marriage. They first separated in July 2002 but later rekindled their relationship. Anthony and Torres renewed their wedding vows in an extravagant ceremony at a cathedral in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in December 2002.

But the reunion was short-lived as the pair filed for divorce in 2004. Torres later admitted in September 2017 that the divorce took its toll on her:

"The hardest moment of my life was definitely the divorce. It’s been so many years that now someone can look back and say, 'You know what, it had nothing to do with me.'"

Sadly, the same year Torres and Anthony went their separate ways, he remarried. The actor had his most mediatic and long-lasting marriage to superstar Jennifer Lopez.

In her 2014 memoir, "True Love," Lopez recounted how she first met the New York native in 1998. The pair crossed paths backstage when Anthony performed on Broadway in "The Capeman."

The triple-threat later revealed that the three-time Grammy Award winner predicted that they would walk down the aisle in the future:

"One day, you're going to be my wife."

That only happened six years later when the couple tied the knot on June 5, 2004. The lovebirds started dating in 1999 after collaborating on "No Me Ames." She wrote in her book: "We thought that this was where everything was supposed to lead, that we were meant to end up together."

Lopez and Anthony wed in a surprise casual wedding ceremony amid family and friends held at her Beverly Hills mansion. Multiple sources revealed to People that a tent was erected early in the day leading up to the big event.

The property was decked out with balloons with musicians belting out Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" - which happens to be a thematic wedding song – in the afternoon. The "Marry Me" star had blindsided her guests as she told them she and Anthony were having an afternoon party.

While on a joint concert tour in November 2008, Lopez announced she was pregnant. She told 10,000 fans at Miami's American Airlines Arena that she and her spouse were expecting:

"We didn't want to say anything before because we didn't want to take away from the tour, but we're expecting."

The couple welcomed their fraternal twins, daughter Emme and son Max in February 2008. The siblings arrived in Long Island, New York, and the oldest is Emme, born at 12:12 a.m., with Max following at 12:23 a.m.

Madly in love at the time, Anthony and Lopez secretly renewed their vows the same year they had their twins, in October 2008, more than four years into their marriage.

People reported the couple had two friends as witnesses to their spontaneous ceremony in Las Vegas at Caesar's Palace Forum Tower Penthouse at 3:15 a.m. They had Rev. Steven Smith officiate the service, and a source revealed it was a last-minute occasion:

"It was totally a spur-of-the-moment thing. They decided around 12:30 in the morning that they wanted to do it and started calling for ministers."

In 2010, Lopez divulged to Latina magazine that being married was not an easy feat and it needed work. However, she stated that her union with Anthony was perfect: "Everything is great about my marriage."

That statement came about a year and a half before she and the "Man on Fire" star separated. The pair divorced in 2011, and the process was finalized in 2014.

The "American Idol" judge later hinted at taking a jab at Anthony when she said "musicians are too self-absorbed" when asked who was good in bed between actors, dancers, and singers. When speaking specifically about her marriage with Anthony in an interview with W, Lopez reflected:

"I hung in there for seven years. I knew very quickly that it wasn't the right thing."

Years after the former couple's divorce, the Latina beauty revealed in March 2017 that she and the father of her children were now "best friends." The mom of two said Anthony was even helping her make a Spanish album, adding that they were in a better space as exes.

In March 2020, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey during the media mogul's 2020 Vision Tour, Lopez opened up about her divorce from Anthony. She deemed the experience one of the lowest moments in her life.

The actress shared that she had to reassess her life after their divorce. Lopez, who had her kids at age 38, said she waited to have children because she wanted to avoid having them without being with someone whom she had them with:

"I just felt like, when we got divorced, it was the lowest time of my life, I felt like I had failed miserably and that I wasn’t going to give my kids what they needed."

Hence when she and her former husband split, she went to therapy. Lopez told Winfrey that she had to love herself first and be content before getting involved with someone else again.

ANTHONY'S BRIEF THIRD MARRIAGE

Again, the same year Lopez and Anthony finalized their divorce, he walked down the aisle for the third time. "The Substitute" star wed the Venezuelan-American model Shannon De Lima on November 11, 2014.

The couple met at the Latin Grammys gala in 2011 and began dating just months after Anthony ended his seven-year marriage with Lopez. They dated for three years before getting hitched. However, the union only lasted two years as they separated in November 2016.

The actress reportedly was blindsided by her split with Anthony because there were no signs of trouble in their marriage. A source revealed to HollywoodLife.com at the time, "Shannon is heartbroken – it came as a shock to her."

Meanwhile, another insider later told the outlet that Anthony was shattered due to the divorce. He allegedly wanted to stop dating altogether and focus on himself and being a dad.

Seeing that he has a history of jumping from one relationship to the next, it dawned on Anthony that his behavior was the leading cause of broken marriages, said the source.

Meanwhile, De Lima remained mum about her breakup with Anthony and only spoke candidly about it in November 2017. She revealed that they had been separated for about a month before news of their divorce made headlines.

The TV personality added that she and Anthony remain good friends and that she still has a relationship with Anthony's other children. De Lima insisted that there was no hostility between her and Anthony. Their divorce got finalized in 2017.

ANTHONY'S ROMANCE ANNOUNCEMENT WITH FERREIRA

Anthony is taking another chance on love by walking down the aisle for the fourth time with Ferreira after three failed marriages. The six-time Latin Grammy Award winner officially announced his romance with his current fiancee Ferreira in March 2022 on social media.

He posted a picture of the couple cuddling in an airplane and captioned the post: "May God multiply everything you wish for us."

Ferreira is a Paraguayan native with a background in pageantry dating back to 2015. She was named Miss Universe Paraguay in August 2021.

The brunette beauty has a successful modeling career and first gained recognition after walking for designer Custo Barcelona at New York Fashion Week in 2018. Since then, she has walked for several A-list designers, including Balmain.

Ferreira, who is 30 years Anthony's junior and younger than his first-born daughter Ariana and son Chase, has also graced magazine covers such as Harper's Bazaar and Elle.

Being engaged to Anthony has brought much attention to her stunning engagement ring. According to CEO of The Diamond Pro, Mike Fried, the band appears to be an emerald cut with tapered baguette diamonds on either side.

It is estimated to be 10 carats and worth around half-a-million dollars. Page Six has compared Ferreira's engagement ring with that of Lopez.
