Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out at Wimbledon's Men's Singles final match between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios in July 2022.

Joining them at the tournament was their eldest son, Prince George of Cambridge, who became exposed to rants by one player at the game.

While this was his mother's third appearance, it was the young royal's first surprise appearance at Wimbledon. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are avid tennis fans; hence, it was no surprise to see them at the tournament.

Middleton, who wore a navy polka dot dress from Alessandra Rich, took her son to the final match because it was reportedly his "treat day." The couple and their son watched on from the Royal Box.

Prince George's appearance at Wimbledon sparked comparisons to his father, who made his debut alongside his late mother, Princess Diana, in 1991.

Like his firstborn, the Duke and his mother watched the tennis game from the front row of the Royal Box at Centre Court. In addition, Prince William and Prince George share more similarities in their appearances at Wimbledon in different eras.

The father and son were around the same age as the Duke of Cambridge was nine years old then, and his child will celebrate his ninth birthday in July 2022.

They both opted for the same dress code by wearing suits and ties for similar events. The young prince donned a navy-blue attire paired with a blue tie with white stripes and a white shirt.

In addition, people took notice of Prince George's choice of outfit for the tournament and disapproved of it. Social media users took to Twitter to share their views about him dressed in a suit, with one person tweeting:

Meanwhile, another Twitter user pointed out that the future king of England looked grown as she shared a photo of him on the platform: "Since when did Prince George of Cambridge get this big?" asked the individual.

Nonetheless, the youngster appeared to be engaging during the Wimbledon tournament as he could be spotted waving and smiling while sitting alongside his mom.

In other photos, Prince George seemed immersed in the game that he got captured, showing animated facial expressions with his hand placed on his hair. The royal displayed a worrisome look as he watched on.

That was because he was reacting to Kyrgios' outbursts on the tennis court as he appeared to be using foul language. Fans blasted the Australian native on social media for his unacceptable behavior in front of an eight-year-old.

Others noted that Prince George's facial expressions were funny as he looked at the tennis player, who captivated the crowd with his antics.

In another picture, the young member of the Royal Family got snapped, biting his lips as he portrayed a concerned look on his face while watching the game.

Other instances showed the young prince covering his face based on the reaction to the ongoing match between tennis stars. He also had his one eye-popping out, watching nervously.

At some point, Prince George of Cambridge was photographed picking his nose while his mother paid no attention to him.

Fans commented on his photos from the tournament on Facebook. One social media user wrote that there was no need for the prince to be captured with his finger in his nose because he is a child.

Meanwhile, another individual said, "Normal little boy, I love it!" While one Facebook user stated him being present was merely a practice run, "They're encouraging him as he learns to deal with what royalty must endure in public."

One person commented that it was apparent that the youngster would have preferred being somewhere else other than at the game: "Poor kid. He looks like he would rather be anywhere else."

Someone else said the experience must have been boring for Prince George more because he had to sit and watch in a "stuffy suit through that."

Another compared the behavior of the oldest child of the Cambridges to his younger brother Prince Louis, saying that his actions were screaming for attention just like his little brother was at his last public appearance.

Prince George's facial expressions came after his brother Prince Louis went viral for throwing a temper tantrum at the Queen's Jubilee in June 2022.

The youngest sibling of the Cambridges was pictured hilariously clapping his hands over his ears to block out the RAF jets' noise while standing alongside the monarch. He had his mouth wide open with his eyes closed.

In addition to stealing the show at Wimbledon tennis, the third heir to the throne got to meet the champion winner of the match, Novak Djokovic.

The Serbian native was pictured shaking hands with Prince George - who gave a massive thumbs up to him - and his father. Not only was the young royal able to meet and greet the former world No.1, but he managed to touch The Gentlemen's Singles Trophy.

Before the game, Prince George was asked who he was in favor of, and he seemed shy to answer. So, Prince William gave him a look and whispered: "Djokovic" before stating that they shall how long it lasts and that "He'll support the winner."

According to the Mirror, Prince George is reportedly a keen tennis fan and has been given lessons on the court since he was five years old.

He got highly praised by eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer, who previously disclosed that he provided him private lessons.

The Swiss tennis star noted that Prince George was talented on the court. "At that stage, it's all about just touch the ball; it's already good," the professional tennis player explained.
