Legendary Comedian Eddie Murphy has been involved in many relationships in his life; however, his most prominent was his marriage to model Nicole Mitchell Murphy.

The pair met in the late 1980s and started dating afterward. A couple of years later, they became parents to their first child, Bria, born in November 1989.

Two years later, in 1990, the couple briefly split, and during this time, Eddie welcomed a child Christian with another woman Tamara Hood. Afterward, the comedian and Tamara broke up, and Eddie subsequently reunited with Nicole, marrying her in 1993.

Eddie and Nicole's marriage thrived for the next ten years, and the pair expanded their family with the arrival of new babies. Also, judging from family photos, Nicole got on well with Eddie's mother, which helped their relationship.

Just a year before they tied the knot, Nicole gave birth to their second child, Miles, and then in October 1994, they became parents again to Shayne. Their fourth baby Zola was born in December 1999 before their youngest, Bella, arrived in January 2002.

Eddie and Nicole were the envy of many, giving fans small insights into their family by attending events like the Hollywood premiere of "Finding Nemo" with their kids. In May 2004, the comedian and Nicole showed up with their whole family during the "Shrek 2" film premiere.

In a statement released by Eddie's representative Paul Boch, the pair were moving forward as amicably as possible for the sake of their kids.

After his marriage with Nicole ended, Eddie started going out with former Spice Girl Melanie Brown and businesswoman Tracey Edmonds. The comedian's relationship with Mel. B resulted in a daughter Angel Iris, but the pair's romance was short-lived.

Eddie focused all his attention on Tracey, who at the time was already a mother to two kids from her previous relationship with ex-husband Kenneth Edmonds.

The duo's relationship moved at a fast pace, and before long, they became engaged. Tracey even spoke publicly about their wedding plans telling reporters that she and Eddie had a lot of work to do regarding their wedding.

She explained that they kept in touch and asked each other's opinions on details about the wedding ceremony although they had similar ideas. Tracey disclosed that they both did not want a big party; instead, they wanted to make it small, fun, and casual.

On January 15, 2008, just 14 days after the lavish wedding ceremony, Eddie and Tracey announced they would go their separate ways. The heartbreaking news shocked everyone and made people wonder how and why the pair would end their marriage just two weeks after the nuptials.

However, news reports detailed that trouble started between the pair on the same Island where they exchanged marital vows. After the nuptials, Eddie ignored his new bride and went to smoke with his friends. Unfortunately, things worsened that same evening when guests who lingered around heard the pair yelling and Tracey crying.

Also, the duo had previously announced they would get a legal ceremony once they returned to the United States. Still, after the civil ceremony, Eddie and Tracey ignored the question.

According to a source Tracey and Eddie's mother, Lilian Lynch, who attended the wedding, did not get along. Lilian even put Eddie in a tight position when she asked him to choose between her and Tracey. The source said:

"[Lillian] basically said, 'It's me or her,' to Eddie. His mom never liked her or her mother, and she really went off on Tracey and Jackie… There was a huge argument, and words were said and Eddie took his mom's side."

Another topic on which the couple disagreed was that Eddie wanted Tracey to take his name and drop hers, but Tracey wanted to keep it because of her kids.

After the marriage ended, Eddie's friend Johnny Gill disclosed that the comedian ended the marriage after taking advice from his mother. According to Johnny, Lilian felt everything between the two was moving too fast and that did not feel right.

However, Tracey denied Johnny's claims while appearing on a radio show. She told host Doug Banks that Johnny's claims about her failed marriage to Eddie disappointed her.

Tracey revealed that his claims were outrageous lies and an attempt to clean up his reputation by soiling hers. She then advised Johnny to stop spreading lies and allow everyone to move on with their lives.

After Eddie's short-lived marriage to Tracey, the comedian met and started dating Australian model Paige Butcher. Eddie reportedly showed the model off to his friends because apart from being stunningly beautiful, she also loves sports and going to basketball games.

In 2012 the pair were spotted holding hands as they walked Beverly Hills street, and she stayed by Eddie's side while he was honored at Spike TV's "Eddie Murphy: One Night Only" special.

The model also looked to be getting along with Eddie's daughter Bria as the two were spotted hitting the beach together. Paige gave birth to Eddie's 9th child Izzy Oona Murphy in 2016, and in August 2018, announced they were expecting another baby.

Two months later, the comedian's representative confirmed that Eddie and Paige were engaged. The model was also seen afterward walking around with a diamond ring in her left hand.

Unlike Tracey, Paige seems to be on good terms with Eddie's mother, Lilian, and although the two have not walked down the aisle yet, they look ecstatic together.
