Quentin Tarantino Was against Marriage & Kids until He Met 21-Years-Younger Daniella & Had 2nd Child at 59
American esteemed filmmaker, Quentin Tarantino, has been harmoniously in love in significant relationships with famous women. However, none of the romances ended in marriage until Daniella Pick came along.
Actor Quentin Tarantino previously dated four famous women, and though he was not a womanizer, they were some of his serious relationships.
Interestingly, none of those women became his fiancees nor his wives. He had no children with them either. But they all have said only good things about Tarantino as no scandals or dramas were involved.

The film critic once dated stand-up comedienne and actress Margaret Cho, whom he met at the Snake Pit in Los Angeles. Cho told Hudson Union Society in 2014 that Tarantino approached her because he was a fan, and they instantly connected. When speaking of their romance, she said things were good between them because they had similar opinions:
"[The relationship] was great for us because we had very similar views of film. He opened my world cinematically. I think he's an incredible artist. I think he is one of the greatest American treasures, and certainly, somebody that really engages in life."

Tarantino also briefly dated another comedian, Kathy Griffin, whom he cast on the 1994 crime film "Pulp Fiction." She candidly spoke about their relationship in an interview on the "BUILD" series in July 2019:
"I was dating Quentin Tarantino. I have an affection for him. He's a true artist. What I appreciate about Quentin is he's a rare, rare man who took a chance on me.'"
Moreover, Tarantino dated fellow filmmaker Sofia Coppola following her divorce from director Spike Jonze in 2003. But she later married someone else though she and Tarantino remained friends.
The author also dated actress Mira Sorvino from 1995 to 1998. The former couple attended the 1996 Academy Awards, where Sorvino won an Oscar.
Sorvino admitted in 1997 that she and Tarantino were an odd couple, describing herself as "quieter" than her then-lover. After they parted ways, Sorvino told People that she and Tarantino still loved each other dearly but had reached a "mutual" decision to split.

For most of his adult life, Tarantino immersed himself into his career, so much so that he solely focused on work, being the hard worker that he was. He told GQ Magazine in 2009, at age 46, that his career was not a job but a calling, whereas it was vice versa for some other individuals who had families to care for.
"I don't have a wife. I don’t have a kid. Nothing can get in my way. I don’t care...This is my life. I’ve made a choice, so far, to go on this road alone. Because this is my time."
Though he was fully expressive of his opinion on marriage while juggling a career, the Tennessee native did not rule out the possibility of settling down and having kids someday before turning 60.

That same year Tarantino met a 21-year younger woman named Daniella Pick, who undoubtedly changed his opinion and priorities, including life in general. The pair began dating in 2009 while he was in Israel promoting his film, "Inglorious Basterds."
Soon after, Tarantino and Pick were photographed holding hands while attending a red-carpet event for the September 29, 2009, premiere of "Whip It." However, the two soon split but later rekindled their romance in 2016, per Israeli media.
Pick is a singer who started her singing career in the early 2000s as a duo with her sister Sharona. They became best known for their song "Hello, Hello." But the sister act parted ways, Pick pursued a solo career and found success with songs such as "Love Me" and "More or Less."

Meanwhile, Tarantino shared his plans to retire in December 2015, telling reporters that he would direct ten movies and then bow out of Hollywood:
"I think there's something really vital and exciting about thinking: I only have two movies left."
After toying with the idea of getting married and having kids, the film critic proposed to Pick in LA a year after they reconciled in June 2017.

The lovebirds celebrated their engagement party in New York hosted by Harvey Weinstein, with guests including "Pulp Fiction" stars such as Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Uma Thurman.
The proposal came as a surprise to fans after Tarantino previously expressed his strong views on marriage and having children.
Be that as it may, he and Pick walked down the aisle another year later, in November 2018. The pair wed in an intimate wedding ceremony that lasted "about an hour," said a source. Pick's rep revealed to E! News that the couple wed at their home in front of 20 guests:
"They got married in an intimate and private wedding with close friends and family in their place in Los Angeles."
The bride donned a slip dress by Dana Harel and accessorized with Keren Wolf jewelry for the big day, while the groom opted for a black suit and a tie. Their dinner reception was held in Beverly Hills.

A year after wedded-bliss in August 2019, Tarantino and Pick's love reached a new level. They announced that they were expecting their first child together in an exclusive statement to People:
"Daniella and Quentin Tarantino are very delighted to announce that they are expecting a baby."
The "Django/Zorro" author became a dad for the first time at age 56 in February 2020. He and Pick welcomed a son named after her grandfather, Leo.

The "Django Unchained" star made an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in June 2021 and explained why they named their child Leo:
"He's named after my wife's grandfather but also because, in our hearts, he was our little lion."

When asked if Leo had started talking yet, the proud dad said that he was but not in so many words, adding he made himself understood. However, he pointed out that his son kept saying one word in Hebrew: "Abba," meaning dad.
In February 2022, Tarantino and Pick announced that they were expanding their family with another new addition, with his rep confirming the news to People. The Tarantinos finally became a family of four after the couple welcomed their second child, a baby girl, on July 2, 2022.
