Fans Divided over Which Royal Prince George Resembles as He Loses His 'Babyface' & Becomes a Young Man
After Prince William and Duchess Kate released a portrait of their eldest son Prince George to celebrate his ninth birthday, the post garnered a lot of comments. Most people noted their surprise at how fast George had grown and his changing physical traits.
After the whirlwind romance of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which ended in a widely televised wedding, the couple proceeded to add kids to their family.
On December 3, 2012, St James' Palace announced that the pair were expecting their first child. The news was announced while Kate was still in the early stages of pregnancy, and she was feeling unwell with hyperemesis gravidarum and required hospital treatment.

Thankfully, Kate got better during the latter stages of her pregnancy and finally gave birth to the couple's first child Prince George who weighed 8lb 6oz, on July 22, 2013, at 4:24 pm. The delivery took place in the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London.
However, the couple delayed announcing the birth of their child for hours, finally releasing an official statement from Kensington Palace around 8 pm.
Speaking about the moment she gave birth to her first child, Kate explained that the whole situation was an extraordinary one.

The Duchess noted she wondered how the human body could do something so extraordinary and that George was very sweet. She was also relieved that he was a happy, healthy boy.
"I think, yeah, I did stay in hospital overnight, I remember it was one of the hottest days and night with huge thunderstorms so I didn't get a huge amount of sleep, but George did which was really great." the Duchess noted.
Now, as George gets older and learns the ways of the royals, his parents have been careful in handling him and his education, especially delicate information like his position in the line of succession.

However, according to the royal biographer Robert Lacey, Prince William, and the Duchess sat their son down after he clocked seven in 2020 and at a suitable moment to inform him about his role.
The couple informed George of vital details about his royal life and future and what service and duty would particularly involve. Prince William and Kate took this step rather than risk George finding out somewhere else and getting confused.
According to Lacey, Prince William has not publicly disclosed how he told his son about his line to the throne, and maybe George will tell the story himself at one point in the future.
