Laura Savoie is Dennis Quaid's wife, but there is more to her than meets the eye. Here's a look at Savoie's personal life and relationship with "The Parent Trap" actor.
Laura Savoie is famously known for being Dennis Quaid's wife, but there is more to her than what most people know.
Although she is much younger than her husband, Savoie and Quaid get along quite well. They don't have their own children, but Savoie is like a mother to Quaid's kids.
Beyond being a great wife and stepmother, Savoie is a star in her own right – an accomplished woman with many degrees. Here's what we know about her.
WHO IS LAURA SAVOIE?
Born on February 21, 1993, in Missouri, 29-year-old Savoie is an intellectual woman who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pepperdine University in California. Savoie was an exceptional student in her college years and graduated valedictorian with a 4.0 GPA.
She also became an "Outstanding Graduate in Accounting." She received several scholarships, including the Faculty-Staff Scholarship, Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship, Maxy Pope Alles Merit Scholarship, and Ernst & Young Outstanding Student Scholarship.

She furthered her studies at the University of Notre Dame, graduating with a Master's degree in Accountancy in 2015.

During her time in school, Savoie became the Class Legacy Leader and the Vice President of the Accountancy Association. Following her graduation, Savoie worked at Ernst and Young but decided to pursue further studies.
After taking an MBA program in Brazil and Chile, she pursued a Ph.D. from Austin's Red McCombs School of Business, University of Texas, while working. Apart from her profession, she obtained a real estate and yoga certification.
Although Savoie lives a private life, it is known that she was once involved with "Entourage" star Jeremy Piven, who is about 28 years older than she. Her previous relationship may indicate that Savoie has a specific taste in men.
She also has an Instagram account not viewable to the public. However, one of her posts reportedly featured her and "The Parent Trap" actor kissing. In another post, she wrote, "Never been happier."
LAURA SAVOIE BECAME DENNIS QUAID'S 4TH WIFE
Savoie and Quaid first crossed paths at a business event where they were introduced. A few months after, in May 2019, their romantic relationship began. However, the actor claimed "It was love at first sight" on the day they met. He added:
"I just love who she is as a person. Her character, her intelligence, of course, her beauty, and her point of view of the world."
They were spotted enjoying the shores of Hawaii a few months later, doing different beach activities while soaking up the sun.
By October that year, Quaid asked Savoie to marry him. "It happened on the very northernmost point of Oahu, at Turtle Bay. It was kind of spontaneous. It was very much a surprise," he said. He continued to narrate:
"I had the ring in my pocket. It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan. I wanted it to be private. She was actually taking a selfie of us, and I put the ring in front and said, 'Will you marry me?' – and then she fell down."
Although their initial Hawaiian wedding was postponed due to the pandemic, Quaid and Savoie secretly tied the knot in June 2020. The pair eloped to Santa Barbara and exchanged wedding vows at a seaside resort with only the pastor as the witness.
"Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride," the groom said at that time. Quaid and Savoie looked stunning as they exchanged Bulgari rings in a beautiful setting. Shortly after, the pair went on their way to Montana with the children.
LAURA SAVOIE AND DENNIS QUAID HAVE A SIGNIFICANT AGE GAP
Quaid and Savoie have a 39-year age gap. He was 65 years old when they met, while she was 26. Despite being born years apart, the couple doesn't care as much about it. "It really just doesn't come up," the "Midway" star said, as told by Nicki Swift. "There's just something timeless about us."
However, others have criticized them, including the Hollywood star's ex-fiancee, Lea Thompson. According to Quaid, he and his wife are unbothered by what other people say about them.
"No, it really doesn't bother us," he said. "I didn't go out looking for an age gap or someone really younger than me. I met her at a business event, and then the relationship developed. You have no control over who you fall in love with."
DENNIS QUAID'S PREVIOUS MARRIAGES AND CHILDREN
Quaid has previously walked down the aisle three times. His first bout with marriage happened in 1978 when he tied the knot with actress Pamela Soles. Their marriage only lasted five years before the divorce.
His second marriage was the most infamous. In 1991, the actor married Meg Ryan, with whom he shares a son, Jack Henry. Quaid and Ryan became Hollywood's golden couple, which is why their divorce in 2001 surprised everyone.
Around the time of their separation, the actress was linked to Russel Crowe, who she said was unjustly implicated in her divorce. "I think he took a big hit, but Russell didn't break up the marriage," she said. "He was definitely there at the end, but it wasn't his fault."
Quaid married for the third time in 2004, exchanging vows with Kimberly Buffington. In 2007, the couple welcomed fraternal twins, Thomas and Zoe, through a surrogate mother. However, their lives were nearly taken away shortly after birth as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center accidentally overdosed them with blood thinners.
In 2016, Quaid and Buffington called it quits after 12 years of marriage. Their decision to divorce was mutual and continued a good relationship as parents to their kids.
LAURA SAVOIE'S RELATIONSHIP WITH DENNIS QUAID'S CHILDREN
Savoie gets along well with Quaid's twins, especially since they were all quarantined together amidst the pandemic. According to the doting dad, isolating brought them all "closer together." However, Savoie did confirm that there are some things her then-fiancee did amidst quarantine that drove her crazy.
Although there isn't much news about Savoie's relationship with Jack, Quaid's eldest child is close to his father. Jack followed in his parents' footsteps in the entertainment industry and is already quite famous.

WHO IS LAURA SAVOIE'S HUSBAND, DENNIS QUAID?
Savoie's husband is famously known as an actor, starring in "The Parent Trap," "Breaking Away," and "The Day After Tomorrow," among many others. Unlike his wife, Quaid did not complete his degree at the University of Houston. Instead, he followed his dream to become a Hollywood actor.
Apart from acting, Quaid is also a talented musician. In 2018, he released "On My Way to Heaven," used in his film, "I Can Only Imagine." Aside from his solo endeavors, Savoie's spouse is part of the band, the Sharks, who have been performing across the country for the past two decades.
Quaid reportedly wrote "On My Way to Heaven" for his mother but could not finish it for over 20 years until he was cast in the film. He finally completed the song after 25 years, in time for his mother's 91st birthday.
