Jennifer Garner Has Romantic 'Getaways' with Man Who Wanted Marry Her after She Divorced Ben Affleck, Source Claims

People can't get enough of knowing precisely what celebrities are up to during their downtime. However, Jennifer Garner has made it a little more challenging to know about her private life.

One of the strongest relationships Hollywood had ever seen was between Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. The couple got into a relationship shortly after Affleck ended his relationship with Jennifer Lopez, to whom he was engaged.

The couple met in 2001 and dated for a couple of years before walking down the aisle in 2005. They then had three children together: daughters Violet and Seraphina, and son Samuel. The couple was Hollywood's sweethearts for a decade.

However, they were apparently not built to last, and in June 2015, the seemingly perfect couple announced the dissolution of their marriage. They said that they were separating but would continue co-parenting their children.

Although the couple announced their separation in the middle of 2015, it was only in October 2018 that their divorce was finalized. They spoke about the split after previously keeping quiet, with Ben sharing:

“We had a marriage that did not work. This happens. It is somebody I love and respect, but to whom I should not be married any longer. And then we said, ‘You know what? We tried. We tried because we had kids.’”

One of the main reasons that the couple's divorce took so long was because of a side of Affleck that the public had not known about before. The actor had issues with substance abuse, most specifically alcohol.

However, once Affleck got into AA meetings and started seeing a sober coach, he got his life back on track, and they went through with the divorce. Garner stayed with Affleck for three years to support and help him recover.

As soon as Garner saw that Affleck was doing fine on his own and could keep up his newfound sobriety, she knew that she would be able to legally divorce him without having to worry about him falling off the wagon.

GARNER SOUGHT SUPPORT FROM ANOTHER MAN

While Garner was okay with being there as a support system for her estranged husband, she too needed support to get through the more challenging days. She found this support in a man named John Miller.

Garner and Miller became an item while Garner was helping Affleck through his sobriety, and Miller supported Garner during the more difficult moments. However, a source said that she didn't rely on him entirely, sharing:

“Ben’s struggles with sobriety don’t impact their relationship because Jennifer doesn’t feel solely responsible for him. John is just the complete opposite of Ben, though.”

John Miller is a businessman, and Garner may have begun their relationship while in an unusual situation. Still, they managed to make it work and become closer with each passing day.

Although Miller and Garner were together for about six months before Garner and Affleck's official divorce, news of their relationship only broke shortly after Garner and Affleck had signed the divorce papers.

While some may have thought Garner moved on too quickly, others applauded her for being true to herself and doing what made her happy. Describing Miller and Garner's relationship, a source said:

MILLER AND GARNER GOT DIVORCED AT THE SAME TIME

Because of her celebrity status, it was not a secret that Garner began a relationship while she was still married. However, for Miller, who is more low-key, not many people knew that he was also in the middle of a divorce when he began dating Garner.

Like Affleck and Garner, Miller and his ex-wife, Caroline Campbell, married in 2005. He filed for divorce in 2011, but by 2012 the couple had reconciled. They filed divorce papers for the last time in 2014.

In 2016 the couple had finalized custody agreements, and by 2018 they were legally divorced. Garner and Miller separated and divorced their partners at around the same time.

Victor Garber, a close friend of Garner's, said that he found Garner and Miller to be a lovely couple. He admired that even though they were both legally divorced, they were still taking things slow.

After their divorces, the couple wanted to focus on their respective children. Miller has two children with his ex-wife. This meant that if he spent the night with Garner, he would arrive late at night and leave early the following day, so her children did not see him at breakfast.

Although Miller and Garner kept their relationship low-key, those around them knew they were in love. One source revealed:

The celebrity in question was Bradley Cooper, who Garner starred with in "Alias." The pair was spotted in Malibu, and a source said Garner appreciated what a good friend Cooper had been to her over the years. Miller and Garner broke up soon after.

Although Miller knew Garner didn't want to be rushed into marriage, he became impatient waiting for her to be ready. She told the businessman that she could not commit to marriage and the pair went their separate ways in 2020.

Although Miller is a hard-working man, he makes time to do romantic things with Garner. One of the most recent is a secret getaway that the couple went to. Their location was not revealed.
