Taylor Dome: All about Taylor Lautner’s Future Wife Who Used to Have a Crush on Robert Pattinson
Taylor Lautner's future wife, Taylor Dome, has a career away from the entertainment industry. Here's a look at the personal life of the "Twilight" actor's fiancee.
Although Taylor Lautner starred in a few movies as a kid, including "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl" and "Cheaper by the Dozen 2," it was his role in the blockbuster hit "Twilight" and its sequels that cemented his name in Hollywood.
Lautner became one of the most successful young Hollywood actors after bringing to life the character of Jacob Black, a werewolf of the Quileute tribe. With a growing fan base, more were interested in his personal life and romantic relationships.
Like his on-screen role, the actor eventually found his love in real life, Tay Dome. Let's get to know the woman who stole Lautner's heart.
WHO IS TAY DOME?
Born Taylor Renee Dome, Lautner's lover, has a career away from Hollywood. She is a registered nurse in California who devoted much of her time working amidst the pandemic after completing her education in 2019. She said upon receiving her license:
"I can not believe all of my hard work has paid off. I have dreamed of this moment for so long, and I still can't believe it's here."
Dome is also a social media influencer with over 350,000 Instagram followers, where she promotes products that sponsor her. She also uses her socials to share life updates, style advice, travel stories, and nursing.
She describes herself as a self-care and mental health advocate and uses her platform to spread awareness on such issues. In January 2022, she launched a website, LEMONS by Tay, dedicated to her advocacy.
Her posts also include her life as a fur parent with Lautner. The duo share two dogs, Lily and Remi, also Instagram stars. Lily and Remi are rescue dogs who have significantly impacted the lives of their mom and dad.
Although Dome is a very supportive fiancee, she admittedly was not a fan of Jacob Black. In fact, she was Team Edward during Lautner's years filming the "Twilight" saga
According to the actor, he and Dome plan to have their dogs play a unique role on their wedding day, although they have yet to figure out what it is. "I'm sure that we'll definitely find some special way that they can be involved because they are family members," Lautner said.
HOW DID TAYLOR LAUTNER AND TAYLOR DOME MEET?
Lautner has his sister, Makena Moore, to thank for introducing him to his bride-to-be. He once narrated how things came into play:
"My sister, Makena, actually introduced us. She called me and said, 'Dude, I found your future wife. You need to meet this girl,' and the rest is history."
The pair met during a planned game night and hit it off with the ordinary things they shared, including their names. In October 2018, the duo became Instagram official with matching Halloween costumes in a post.
As time passed, the two Taylors continued to show their love for each other to the public, sharing sweet notes on Instagram. One of Lautner's dedications came when Dome officially became a registered nurse.
"This angel just graduated nursing school, and I couldn't be more proud," he said. "You have the world's largest heart, and I'm so thankful to have you in my life."
In November 2021, after over three years of dating, Lautner asked Dome to marry him. The answer was a sweet and resounding, yes, making Lautner's fans swoon over their love story.
DID TAYLOR DOME HAVE A CRUSH ON TAYLOR LAUTNER DURING HIS "TWILIGHT" YEARS?
Although Dome is a very supportive fiancee, she admittedly was not a fan of Jacob Black. She was Team Edward during Lautner's years filming the "Twilight" saga, so much so that she developed a crush on the actor who played him, Robert Pattinson.
Lautner also famously dated award-winning artist Taylor Swift in October 2009. However, their quick romance only lasted three months as the two ended things before their movie, "Valentine's Day," premiered in January 2010.
Lautner already knew of his fiancee's "Twilight" preference and spoke about it during an interview on Kelly Clarkson's talk show. "She was Team Edward," he said. "She's made up for it. I'm allowing her to make that mistake – it's in her past. So she's good now, but she was not Team Jacob, unfortunately. [I] still love her."
Lautner's dating history was never a secret from the world. He has been linked to some of the most famous names in the entertainment industry and was publicly seen on dates. One of the names he has been linked to was his "Scream Queens" co-star Billie Lourd.
The pair reportedly met while filming and dated for eight months. The couple also surpassed challenges, including the death of Lourd's mom, "Star Wars" actress Carrie Fisher, and grandmother, "Three Little Words" star Debbie Reynolds.
Lautner also famously dated award-winning artist Taylor Swift in October 2009. However, their short romance only lasted three months as the two ended things before their movie, "Valentine's Day," premiered in January 2010.
Later that year, Taylor Lautner began a romantic relationship with actress Lily Collins, who was also his co-star in "Abduction." Unfortunately, they never made it to the film's red carpet premiere as a couple. Although Lautner had several relationships that did not work out, fans are happy that he finally found his forever after.
