Kate & William Will Avoid Meghan & Harry despite Being Just a Mile Apart Due to 'Lost' Trust, Claims Author
A few days after Meghan Markle's interview of more than 6000 words, speaking about the royal family and forgiveness, the Duchess and her husband arrived in the UK. However, the Sussexes might not be meeting with Royal Family members, including The Cambridges, until they return to the US. Here is what Royal Experts had to say about it.
Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their roles as senior working royals and moved to the US, their visits to the UK have always been highly anticipated.
This is due to the lingering rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family members. In late August 2022, royal fans were left in anticipation after it was announced that Harry and Markle would visit the UK in September 2022.

Now, the wait is over. On September 3, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly touched on British soil for their weirdly controversial slate of charitable appearances.
Harry and Markle are believed to be without their two children, Archie and Lilibet. The couple's visit to the UK marks their third time in 2022 but the first time since Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. According to reports, Harry and his wife will allegedly stay at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor throughout their stay.

As previously announced by the couple's spokesperson, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit several UK charities before flying to Germany for the Invictus Games 2023 One Year to Go event in Dusseldorf. Meanwhile, it is yet to be confirmed if Harry and Markle will visit the monarch or other members of the Royal Family.
The couple's arrival comes shortly after Markle's podcast release and The Cut interview. Here are more details regarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's arrival.
More on the Sussexes' Visit and Markle's Interview
Besides Harry and Markle's alleged reason for visiting the UK, their arrival has been in the tabloids for other reasons, including their transportation choice.

While many famous and rich people with notorious security concerns generally charter private planes for their cross-Atlantic travel, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly booked seats on a commercial flight for the trip.
However, despite being in Harry and Markle's country of residence, Royal Expert Richard Fitzwilliams is convinced that the brothers are unlikely to see each other.

Nevertheless, irrespective of their transportation choice, royal fans could not be happier to see the couple in the UK. The couple's visit comes amid some revelations made by Markle, a former actress, in her recent interview and podcast against the royal institution.
The Duchess sat down for a chat with The Cut and spoke candidly about her and Harry's strained relationship with the Royal Family and her own family.
While speaking, Markle revealed that in stepping down as a senior member of the Royal Family, her husband felt he had lost his father, Prince Charles. The Duchess explained that Harry and Charles's relationship did not have to be like that of her and her estranged father.

According to Markle, even though she and Harry were "upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy just by existing," forgiveness was important before they stepped back. In the former actress's words (via Independent):
"I think forgiveness is really important. It takes a lot more energy not to forgive."

However, Markle also pointed out that forgiveness requires a lot of effort. According to the Duchess of Sussex: "But it takes a lot of effort to forgive. I've made an active effort, especially knowing I can say anything. I have a lot to say until I don't. Do you like that? Sometimes, as they say, the silent part is still part of the song."
A few days after the interview, many royal stans are still hopeful that Markle and Harry will put aside their differences, seeing that the former spoke about the importance of forgiveness.

Sadly, no reconciliation seems to be forthcoming, as there still reportedly appears to be trouble in paradise, especially between the Sussexes and the Cambridges.
The Cambridges Reportedly Avoid the Sussexes While in the UK
Despite being just a mile away from each other in the UK, the Sussexes and Cambridges are unlikely to meet. Royal experts have claimed their inability to meet is because Prince William and Kate Middleton are avoiding Harry and Markle.
According to Royal Biographer Angela Levin, a lack of trust is responsible for the Cambridges' decision to keep their distance from Markle and Harry.

As the release of Harry's memoir and the couple's Netflix documentary draws closer, Levin has claimed that Middleton and William cannot trust the Sussexes not to reveal any of their conversations to the public. According to Levin:
"I think it's likely that Catherine and William will try to avoid any contact with Harry and Meghan until they know the contents of Harry's memoirs and their Netflix documentary. They have lost their chance of being trusted as the chance is they will use any conversation."
The royal biographer further noted that having an honest heart-to-heart talk with someone being paid by Netflix was seemingly impossible. So, until the memoir and documentary are released, Levin believes that members of the Royal Family will avoid contact with Harry and Markle.

Some other royal experts have also alleged that Middleton and William's lack of trust for Harry and Markle is why the Cambridges were absent from Lilibet's first birthday in June 2022.
According to some reports, William was still wary of spending alone time with his brother. On the other hand, other sources claimed it was a coincidence that William and Kate had to travel to Wales on Lilibet's birthday.
Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to be in the US later in September 2022. The couple will reportedly be attending The Earth shot Prize Innovation Summit with Michael Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York.

However, despite being in Harry and Markle's country of residence, Royal Expert Richard Fitzwilliams is convinced that the brothers are unlikely to see each other.
According to Fitzwilliams, William's New York upcoming event has no connection with the Sussexes, who reside in California.
Still, a reunion between the brothers is not impossible. As long as Harry and William remain alive and healthy, fans will stay optimistic that the duo will become close as they used to.
