Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8, and after her coffin toured the UK, she was finally laid to rest at Westminster Abbey in her state funeral.

"Daily Mail" reported that Prince William and Prince Harry were united in their grief after their grandmother passed away. Mourning their grandmother brought the brothers back together after they had drifted apart following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving The Firm.

However, their cousin, Peter, stood beside them as they said their final goodbyes to their grandmother. Peter is the Queen's eldest grandson and supports his younger cousins through everything, even family feuds.

As the Queen was carried down The Mall on a gun carriage on September 14, Peter took his place beside Prince Harry and Prince William as they walked behind their grandmother's coffin in the funeral procession.

It was claimed that although the brothers did not interact much with one another and focused on the sad event, Peter appeared thoughtful as the ceremony proceeded.

After Prince Harry and Meghan decided to step down as senior royals in 2020, it was reported that Prince Harry's relationship with his brother took a strain, and the pair stopped talking as they used to. However, "The Telegraph" confirmed that Peter helped them through this time.

Peter has been the link between Prince Harry, Prince William, and their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, for many years, and he has assumed this role again after the Queen passed away earlier this month.

Peter Phillips Possesses No Royal Titles

Despite being the Queen's eldest grandson, Peter does not have a royal title, confirms "BBC." It is said that Princess Anne refused the Queen's offer to bestow royal titles on her children, leaving Peter to be named Master Peter Phillips.

Because Peter does not have a royal title, he is not considered a working royal and therefore has a regular job. "People"

reported

that Peter has had many jobs over the years, including working at Jaguar, The Royal Bank of Scotland, and starting his own sports management company in 2012.

The publication said that Peter and Prince William shared a close bond growing up, and their children now share a similar bind. Peter's children, Isla, nine, and Savannah, 10, often spend time with Prince William's three children.

Peter wrote a piece for "The Telegraph" in which he was called the Queen's "favorite grandson". He mentioned that he had a close bond with his grandmother, which began when he was still a young boy and caused havoc in the royal residences with his sister and cousins.

Although he is not often talked about in the article for "The Telegraph", he admitted:

"I've always been very close to my grandmother, and we speak often. She has been an inspirational person throughout my life..."

He also revealed that he thought it essential that his cousins Prince William and Prince Harry joined him in his project of hosting "The Patron's Lunch" so they could honor their grandmother's legacy together.

Peter Helped Prince William and Prince Harry Through A Hard Time

"Daily Mail" reported that after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the UK to live in LA as they stepped down as senior royals, the brothers drifted apart. Prince William reportedly did not support Prince Harry's decision to leave The Firm.

In April 2021, when Prince Philip passed away, Prince Harry and Prince William used their cousin as a buffer between them at the funeral procession as he stood between them during the service.

It was said that the brothers were "stoney-faced" before the funeral but appeared to be reconciling after the service as they were seen engaged in conversation as they left St. George's Chapel. This gave the public hope that the brothers were again on good terms.

"People" alleged that Prince William and Prince Harry shared a close relationship with their older cousin throughout their lives, and he has helped them through other times of mourning as he had done with Prince Philip's funeral.

An insider revealed to "The Telegraph" that Peter has assumed the role of peacemaker many times for his cousins, and they assumed that he would do it again for them in the future.

It turned out that the source's theory on Peter helping his cousins again the future was true as he supported them through Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral, which was held at Westminster Abbey on September 19.

In an emotional procession behind the Queen's coffin, Prince William and Prince Harry walked side by side behind their father and their aunt, Princess Anne. Prince George walked alongside his father.

"People" reported that the procession was solemn as the family came together to honor Queen Elizabeth II's life while almost half the world watched from the streets of Westminster Abbey or their homes.

Once again, as Prince Harry and Prince William were going through a difficult time, their older cousin was there to support them. He walked behind them in the procession.

"People" claimed that Prince William told fans that walking behind his grandmother's coffin brought back memories of walking behind his mother's coffin in 1997, which means the support from his cousin at this time was invaluable.
