The Duchess of Sussex told The Cut in an interview that the 18,000-square-foot residence makes her "feel free" and is "calm and healing."
After they stepped down as senior royal members, she and her husband purchased the estate in 2020 for a reported $14.65 million.
The abode comprises nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, including a rose garden, a tea house, a tennis court, and a two-bedroomed guest house.
Per the New York Post, the Duke and Duchess share an office with a desk positioned in front of a fireplace with "two plush club chairs placed side by side."
The space is furnished with a rustic wooden desk and two cream dining room-style chairs. Behind the desk, with aesthetically pleasing decor products, is a traditional fireplace.
The sitting room features a grand piano, cozy chairs, and rose water candles, including wall prints, some of which have been reportedly gifted by media mogul Oprah Winfrey. The space also features a dresser with a celestine crystal on top.
The home also boasts an elevator, a gym, a wine cellar with wooden shelving and stone walls, a spa with a massage room, a chef's kitchen with a butler's pantry, and a billiard room with a wet bar.
Prince Harry and Markle's primary bedroom reportedly has four separate areas: the bedroom, en-suite bathroom, dressing room, and an outdoor terrace. The bedroom opens to a balcony via double French doors with wooden frames.
The property grounds span 7.38 acres and are surrounded by trees, cypresses, pines, and palm trees which the Duchess revealed are of significance to their union. In addition, the mansion consists of a pool, a pool house, and a chicken coop.
The house is said to be the first property that the pair have ever owned, and the former actress revealed she and the prince did whatever they could to get the mansion:
"We did everything we could to get this house because you walk in and go. Joy. And exhale. And calm. It's healing. You feel free."
A Fan Claims the Duchess Is Pregnant with Her Third Child
The "Suits" alum and Prince Harry's home has ample space for their kids Archie and Lilibet to play around. While the Duchess of Sussex seems to be enjoying her current home, rumor has it that she might be pregnant with her third child. A social media user claimed on Twitter that the mother of two is expecting:
"OMG, it is said Meghan Markle is pregnant again."
Markle and Prince Harry have not confirmed whether or not they are expecting a new addition to their growing family of four. However, the Duke of Sussex previously expressed that he only desired to have two children with his wife.
Per Hello Magazine, the doting father of two said he wanted to contribute to the environment by limiting the number of kids he would have in the future. The royal divulged that he "always had a connection and a love for nature."
During an interview with Dr. Jane Goodall, the prince said he would have "two maximum" when asked about the size of his brood:
"I've always thought: this place is borrowed. We should be able to leave something better behind for the next generation."
The British native and the American native have a son and a daughter whom they love unconditionally. The royal couple hardly leaves their brood behind for far too long; if they do, they make sure they return home soonest to see them.
A perfect example is when they flew down to the UK on September 4, 2022, to attend events of charities close to their hearts. They planned on staying in England for less than a week until they learned that Queen Elizabeth II's health was deteriorating.
Later, the royal matriarch passed away on September 8, 2022. The devastating circumstances forced the Sussexes to extend their visit to Europe, reuniting with the Royal Family to grieve.
Following Her Majesty's funeral on September 19, 2022, an insider revealed to Us Weekly that the Duke and Duchess would leave for America as soon as they bid their final goodbyes to the Queen because they missed their brood:
"Meghan and Harry are preparing to return to Montecito almost immediately after the funeral, where they'll be reunited with Archie and Lilibet after being separated for over two weeks. It's the longest amount of time they've been apart from their children."
The source further explained that the Sussexes had longed for their son and daughter terribly but had kept in touch via social media. "They've missed the kids like crazy and have been FaceTiming them every day but can't wait to see and hold them again after a poignant few weeks."
