Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa Is Kate Hudson's Adorable Daughter - All We Know About Her

Danny Fujikawa and Kate Hudson's daughter, Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa, may come from a family of famous actors, but the four-year-old with a sentimental name already shows signs of a potential musical career.

Earlier this month, Hudson and her family gathered to celebrate Rani turning four with a princess-themed birthday party. Hudson celebrated her daughter's special day with a tribute on Instagram and throwback pictures of Rani when she was a baby. The famous actress also included photos from Rani's birthday and showed her surrounded by friends, her parents, and one of her older brothers.

Rani's grandmother Goldie Hawn, known as Glamma to her grandchildren, and her long-time partner Kurt Russell went above and beyond for Rani's birthday dressed in matching blue costumes. Hawn wore a solver tiara while Russel wore a gold crown, and the couple posed for a picture with a smiling Rani.

Hawn joined her daughter in sharing a picture on her Instagram of Rani, who matched with her grandmother in a sky-blue gown and a silver tiara; Hawn wrote in her caption, "Happy 4th birthday, our precious Rani Rose. You are the real queen."

Rani Rose Is Named after Her Grandfather

Rani was born on October 2, 2018; Hudson was 39 years old when she gave birth to her daughter and announced the news on Instagram. In a post captioned "She's here," Hudson and Fujikawa told fans that their family was "well" and "happy." In the same post, they shared that they named Rani, pronounced "Ronnie," after her late grandfather, whom they all "miss dearly." On Rani's fourth birthday, her mother wrote:

"Rani fills our hearts so full of love as she meets every day with enthusiasm, beauty, and humor."

Hudson has a close relationship with her mother and maintained the family tradition by having a close bond with her daughter; Hudson often took to social media to show the mother/daughter duo in their matching outfits. In 2021, Hudson and Rani had hoped off a flight during Christmas time and rocked matching brown wool jackets. In July, Rani and Hudson posed in twinning tan outfits while traveling to London.

Their matching outfits date back to 2019 when Hudson posted a mirror picture of her holding a ten-month-old Rani in matching white dresses with floral patterns. The image captured Rani's gummy smile, and Hudson captioned the post with a sunflower emoji. Her comments section included famous faces such as Diane Kruger and Courteney Cox, who reacted to the adorable photo.

Hudson said Rani's birth was "beautiful," and so were the days that followed. Hudson and Fujikawa sparked dating rumors in 2016 and decided to wait until after Rani was born for their engagement in 2021.

Kate Hudson Raises Rani Rose with a 'Genderless Approach'

Rani is Hudson's third child and first daughter, and the "How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days" actress said she chose to adopt a "genderless approach" to raising her youngest child. Hudson shared that her mother did not give her any advice regarding raising a daughter, but Hudson wanted to be mindful of her parenting and how Rani might identify one day.

The actress shared that raising boys versus girls was different; she described Rani's energy and mannerisms as "feminine" and joked that buying clothes for girls was "really fun" compared to boys. Hudson further said about raising Rani:

"But with her, it's a whole other ball game. There's some stuff that I'm like, 'I can't do that to her because it's so over-the-top.'"

In April, Hudson posted a picture of Rani with a rainbow-themed face of makeup, and Hudson added that she was pretty proud of her work. Rani's look included red lips, yellow and pink eyelids, and blue, green, and white around the eyes.

Rani Rose Absolutely Loves to Sing

In 2021, Hudson posted a short video of Rani practicing her alphabet in song; her mother began by counting them in before playing the ABC melody on the piano. Rani was perched on her mother's lap and received hugs and kisses from her proud mother; and amongst the fans applauding Rani in the comment section was her grandmother, who wrote:

"I have no words, only inordinate amounts of LOVE."

Hudson captioned the clip, "And that, ladies and gentleman, is how to sing your ABCs"; later in August, Rani was back at it; the toddler clutched a black microphone with silver rhinestones and sang "Skidamarink" with her famous mom harmonizing in the background. In October, Hudson posted another video of Rani performing "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys, which according to her mother, was her favorite song.

Rani Rose Has Two Older Brothers

Hudson welcomed her firstborn son, Ryder Robinson, on January 7, 2004; she shares Ryder with her first husband, Chris Robinson, whom she married in 2000 and later divorced in 2007. She dated the singer of Muse, Matt Bellamy, and they got engaged in 2011 before welcoming their child together, Bingham Hawn Bellamy, that same year. Hudson and Bellamy later ended their relationship in 2014.

Kate Hudson spoke about having three children with three different men and joked that she had "kids all over the place," for the most part, her approach to life was to work as hard as she could and let things go, but she revealed that the only time she had high expectations was when it came to her family:

"The only expectations I really have that are really high on my life is with my kids and with family stuff."
