Who is Lisa Liberati, James McAvoy's wife?

Lisa Liberati was born in Philadelphia on March 18. Like her husband, Liberati also has a few movie credits under her belt. According to her IMDb, she is known for 1995's sci-fi horror, "Species," 2010's "Devil," and 2015's "The Visit."

When she met her husband, she worked as a production assistant on the film set of "Split" in 2016. The lovers only coupled up in 2018 and announced their relationship via an Instagram post where they attended a dress party, per Mirror.

Since then, they only rarely share snaps of themselves. In July 2020, Lisa Liberati and her husband, James McAvoy, moved into a cozy apartment in London. There, they quarantined together during the Covid-19 lockdown. McAvoy previously stayed in a mansion worth nearly $2 million in the same city.

According to The Sun, the couple regularly partied and behaved like "lovestruck teenagers" whenever they went out. During the lockdown, they enjoyed each other's company, sharing home-cooked meals and baked treats. Inspired by the famous cook Jamie Oliver, Liberati would bake cakes and donuts for her husband.

The "X-Men" alum would also share mouthwatering pictures of his wife's dishes on his Instagram. McAvoy later showed off his baking skills when he appeared briefly on "Great British Bake Off" for Stand Up To Cancer.

In September 2020, Liberati and her husband were seen viewing London properties, which led to speculation about their potential move. Following the end of the lockdown, Liberati and McAvoy moved from their apartment to a "slightly bigger house."

The actor recalled that their city apartment was "tiny," as they had a spare room where they had packed much of their belongings. According to the Mirror, he explained:

"Round about April we built a makeshift studio in my spare bedroom. Our only spare bedroom which was full of moving stuff was rammed, and just full of this James made recording studio."

While McAvoy shares a more comfortable home with his wife, he also felt that Liberati's city, Philadelphia, has become his second home. Moreover, the actor recently showed his support for the Philadelphia Union sports team via another one of his Instagram posts, donning a team shirt and a baseball cap.
