In 2017, former Hollywood's most eligible bachelor and highly awarded actor, George Clooney, experienced fatherhood for the first time.

Amal, the actor's wife, gave birth to their twins, a son named Alexander and a daughter named Ella. Alexander, the couple's first and only son, knew the world two minutes before his sister. He was born at 12:54 p.m., while Ella followed at 12:56 p.m.

Following the twins' birth, the mother and father immediately adjusted to parenthood. During a trip, the duo was captured sweetly holding their kids — each parent had a child. Nick Clooney, Alexander's granddad, revealed that his actor son was prepared for the task ahead. While speaking to ET, he said:

"Since the word came out that he was going to be a father, no question about it, he changed. When you figure out that you're going to take that standard responsibility that everybody else has done for years, and now you're on the merry-go-round. You're in the middle."

Thankfully, the nurturing and care from their celebrity parents have helped the twins to grow boisterous and healthy.

During a 2019 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the actor explained that parenting appears fun, adding that his son is already taller than his daughter.

He Knows How to Make His Father Laugh

Although George hailed his son's intelligence, he jokingly told Ellen that he would not allow Alexander to have a British accent. He revealed that his wife is very British.

Ella is also worthy of the same praise, as her dad explained that she and Alexander are a dynamic duo with different personalities. He said:

"They have opinions, and they're funny, and they pull pranks on me…They make me laugh, I laugh every day. They really are funny kids."

He Is Bilingual

Apart from being a jester, Alexander is a smart young man who could count in English and Italian at the age of two.

His parents share their time in Italy and England, and the kids are already smart enough to absorb a bit of both culture. For example, the actor once heard his son pronounce "zebra" like an English boy.

Although George hailed his son's intelligence, he jokingly told Ellen that he would not allow Alexander to have a British accent. He revealed that his wife is very British.

Alexander Had Health Issues

George revealed that his only son is asthmatic. In 2020, the actor talked about how his kids remained indoors due to the pandemic.

He mentioned his son's breathing problems but added that it is not severe as he is still young. In an honest tone, he admitted:

"My son has asthma. They say it's not so bad on young people. But do we know that? We don't know anything about the long term of this yet."
