Now, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry are focused on changing lives through charitable works.
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has granted her first interview since Queen Elizabeth's demise. Speaking for a cover story of the latest edition of Variety magazine, Markle opened up about the challenging period for the Royal Family.
She noted that amid the mourning, the public had showered her and her family with lots of love and support. In addition, the Duchess of Sussex made it known that being able to be by her husband, Prince Harry, to encourage and support him was something she was grateful for.

Next, Markle spoke candidly about the legacy of the late monarch. Firstly, she described Her Majesty as "the shining example" of what female leadership looked like.
Although saying goodbye to the Queen was a significant loss for her and the Royal Family, the former actress said she was grateful for spending time with the late monarch and getting to know her.
Besides discussing Queen Elizabeth's legacy, Markle shed more light on her relationship with Her Majesty. Like she had done over the years, the Duchess of Sussex praised the Queen for the love and support the latter always showed her.

She recalled an incident when Queen Elizabeth was accommodating and warm towards her. In the words of the former actress:
"I've reflected on that first official engagement I had with her, how special that felt. I feel fortunate. And I continue to be proud to have had a nice warmth with the family's matriarch."

Inside Markle's Current Life with Prince Harry
Nearly two months after Queen Elizabeth passed away, Markle has opened up about what an average workday for her and her husband looks like.
Markle and Harry's charitable act gave the community hope, which experienced a mass shooting at an Elementary school that killed over 20 children and teachers in May 2022.

During the interview with Variety magazine, the Duchess of Sussex stated that it involved sharing an office. According to Markle, she and Harry had been working remotely, which had many advantages.
Being at home afforded the couple enough time to be in their children's lives. In addition, Markle could easily do wifely and motherly duties like making breakfast for the family and preparing the kids for the rest of the day. Markle further noted:
"We do a lot of joint calls and zooms, but also try to divide what we can focus our energies on so we can accomplish even more. My husband is in a 24-hour time zone where half of your life is waking up, and the other half is going to sleep."

Then, Markle proceeded to give details about snack breaks while working. When asked who took the most snack breaks, the Duchess of Sussex recalled what happened during a hectic day of back-to-back meetings.
The former actress noted that on that day, she and Harry drove to Los Angeles and tagged a lot of "chocolate chip cookies the size of my toddler's head."

Besides eating chocolate chip cookies, Markle confessed that she and Harry would frequently visit In-N-Out, the latter's favorite burger restaurant. The Duchess added:
"There's one at the halfway point between L.A. and our neck of the woods. It's really fun to go through the drive-thru and surprise them. They know our order."
When Markle and Harry are not working from home or taking snack breaks, the pair go out for philanthropy. For example, recently, the couple's foundation joined hands with Texas city and KABOOM! Foundation to build a playground in Uvalde, Texas.

Following the project's completion, the mayor of Uvalde thanked Harry, Markle, the Archewell Foundation, and KABOOM! for giving the community members a way to unite and heal from the tragedy.
Prince Harry Helped Meghan in One of Her Darkest Moments
Markle has achieved a lot in every area of her life in the last few years, and Harry has played a big part in his wife's accomplishments. The Duke of Sussex had helped and encouraged Markle, especially during dark moments when she was close to giving up.

On the October 11, 2022, episode of the "Archetype" podcast, Markle recalled when Harry offered her help while battling mental health issues. According to the Duchess of Sussex, her husband referred her to a professional.
She reached out to the woman, telling her that she needed help. Markle encouraged her listeners to be honest about their mental health struggles and ask for help.

Now, the Duchess of Sussex seems to be in a better place and is focused on giving her children a better life than she had. During the October 18, 2022, episode of "Archetype" podcast, the mom of two said she hoped her daughter, Lilibet, would possess certain qualities as she grows up.
According to Markle, she did not want Lilibet to be a "bimbo" — an attractive yet unintelligent person. She hoped her daughter would desire to be educated, smart, and proud of herself.

Markle explained that while working as a briefcase model on "Deal or No Deal," she understood what it felt like to be a pretty lady whose intellect was not valued. As a result, she wanted a better life for Lilibet.
The infant is only 16 months old and has a long way to go. Hopefully, with guidance from her parents, she will grow up to be the best version of herself.
