The woman said to be Mike Holmes's wife, Anna Zappia, lives a very private life. While it is unclear if they tied the knot, the couple dated for years, and Anna came into Mike's life during a difficult time.

Mike has become a well-known contractor for his appearances on "Rock the Block" and other construction-related projects. He has a large social media following, with almost two hundred thousand followers on Instagram at the time of writing.

He shares his building projects on social media and the occasional snap of his family. But something Mike keeps very private is his love life. After his divorce from his first wife, Mike met Anna, and according to reports, they have been in a relationship for over two decades.

When Mike was nineteen, he married his high school sweetheart, Alexandra Lorex. They said 'I do' in 1982, and two short years later, they welcomed their first child, Amanda Holmes, in 1984. Over the years, his family grew, and Mike had three kids before he was thirty.

In 2016, his only son and youngest child, Mike Jr., shared a throwback picture of Mike, Alexandra, and their three children. While many fans may know Mike for his grey hair, he dawns a full head of dark locks in the family portrait.

In a bright pink tank top and yellow pants, Mike and his family sat before a blue backdrop as his eldest daughter clung to his arm. Mike also shared the picture on his Instagram account and wrote, "Wow. There's not much to say."

Mike was also a successful businessman, but the recession in the 1990s came as a big blow for him. He was declared bankrupt and had to release all his employees after selling his company. The financial strain took a toll on his marriage, and after ten years of marriage, Mike and Alexandra decided to go their separate ways.

Matters only worsened for Mike as it was the same time his parents passed away. It was during Mike's darkest hour that Anna came into his life. She supported him while he rebuilt his business and was by his side when he ventured into television.

According to reports, Anna and Mike secretly married. Mike allegedly refer to Anna as his wife often and, on occasion, spoke about their relationship and said she was his perfect match. However, neither Mike nor Anna has confirmed nor denied marriage rumors.

Mike Holmes and Anna Zappia's Relationship

Mike and Anna are said to have begun dating in the early 2000s. And while he is a well-known person, there is virtually no information about Anna. She has no social media, but in 2015, Mike shared a picture of himself, his second daughter Sherry and Anna at the Kaleidoscope Ball.

Anna wore a smile as she leaned into Mike's side. Sherry's lime green dress and blonde locks contrasted Anna's dark gray outfit and brown hair as each woman sat beside their dates. She also appeared on Mike's account in September. On the 16th, Mike shared a picture of himself and Anna enjoying wine with company in Italy.

Mike captioned the post "cheers" as everyone held up their glasses. On the 20th, Anna and Mike enjoyed a trip to Casale Del Mare, and Mike called it "one of the best things I've done for myself." Anna wore a black shirt and a leopard-printed skirt as she clutched a cream purse.

Mike Holmes's Relationship with His Children After His Divorce

Despite splitting from their mother, Mike played an active role in his children's lives. When they were younger, they spent time together on the weekends, and Mike introduced them to the construction world early. Sherry said:

"It's kind of something we did as a bonding thing when we were younger. My parents were split up, so we used to just hang out and do work at his house, and that was kind of like our weekend thing."

All three children appeared on Mike's shows, and over the years, Mike Jr. and Sherry showed the most interest in building and joined their father in family construction ventures.

In July, Mike Jr. announced new projects for season two of "Holmes Family Rescues" and that he, Sherry, and Mike were filming twelve episodes. In 2021, Sherry joined her father on his YouTube podcast as they sat down and spoke about her entry into the construction business.

She was twenty-one when she joined him on a trip to New Orleans, and although she did not intend on being a contractor as a career at the time, Sherry had a change of heart after the trip.

In September, Mike shared a picture of himself and his daughter knee-deep in work and praised Sherry for being an accomplished "contractor, tiler, part-time designer" and a slew of other things. He said:

"I'm so proud of her. I love seeing women get into construction and the skilled trades."

Mike is also a grandfather. While singing Sherry's praises, he mentioned that she was a mother of two. In early October, he took to social media to wish one of his grandchildren a happy 1st birthday. Mike captured a picture of his granddaughter smiling into the camera with a face full of cake.

While some contractors enjoy appearing on their TV shows with their partners, like Chip and Joana Gaines, Anna has yet to show her face during a Holmes family project.
