The football player's mother is Misun "Missy" Henderson, a half-Korean born on September 25, 1964, to US Navy officer Msgt Carl W Henderson Sr.

In the 1990s, she worked as an executive assistant at Skyway Freight Systems, joined Key Transportations Services, later became the direct support to Verizon's vice president of strategy, and now works as a general manager for K1 Promotions.
