Lauren Kyle's boyfriend is professional ice hockey player Connor McDavid, captain of the Edmonton Oilers. While McDavid has been deemed the best hockey player of his time, earning himself two MVP awards and three Art Ross Trophies, his girlfriend is also leading a noteworthy career.

Before pursuing a professional career in interior design, Kyle attended a private high school in Toronto. She then enrolled at the Toronto Metropolitan University and later transferred to Ryerson University, where she attained her Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture in 2019.

Based in Ontario, Kyle has been working for Studio B Home Inc since June 2017. Alongside that job, she founded her own interior design company called Kyle and Co Studio. Currently, she has a cookbook in the works titled "The Atelier Table."

Kyle was reportedly also interested in sports, as the upcoming author used to play volleyball in college. She has an active social media presence with an Instagram account that boasted 49.1K followers at the time of publication.

They Met Whilst Showing Up at the Wrong Birthday Party

Kyle and McDavid met after showing up at the wrong location for a mutual friend's party. The couple went Instagram official in July 2016 when Kyle shared a sweet photo of herself kissing an awkwardly smiling McDavid on the cheek.

Since then, they've both frequently appeared on each other's pages. On National Boyfriend's Day on October 4, 2017, Kyle posted a picture of herself and McDavid cozied up on a leather sofa in a dimly lit restaurant. The interior designer cheekily captioned the post:

"Not posting this because it’s national boyfriend day."

In 2017 when Connor McDavid – who once tested positive for COVID-19 – signed his eight-year contract with the Edmonton Oilers, he and Kyle began looking for a place of their own. After struggling to find a place that aligned with their desires, the couple decided to build a home for themselves.

Situated in Alberta, Edmonton, the house is built among evergreen trees, close to the North Saskatchewan River Valley. The 6094 square-foot mansion is a triple story that includes an indoor sport court, a lounge and bar area, a two-person sauna, and three oversized garages with extra height for car lifts.

In 2021, the house was featured by Architectural Digest and numerous other exciting features. However, Earn The Necklace reported that the house became the subject of ridicule on social media due to its lack of warm colors.

In June this year, Kyle's boyfriend was embroiled in infidelity rumors after being reportedly spotted holding hands with another woman. At the time, neither Kyle nor McDavid responded to the accusations. Therefore, it's unknown if the rumors have affected their relationship.
