"And it was the best day of my life, that's for sure," Tim recalled the beginning of his relationship with his wife.
In 2022, Faith Hill and her husband, Tim McGraw, had been married for 26 years! The couple grew their successful music careers side-by-side and were also in each other's lives when they reached outstanding accomplishments.
The pair met due to their music careers and have been highly supportive of one another. In November 2022, Tim shared a social media post looking back on a pivotal moment early in his wife's career.

The moment lodged her as a remarkable talent and got a reaction from their youngest child, Audrey. Tim shared the Instagram throwback moment from January 30, 2000, when his wife wowed everyone with her performance of the US National Anthem.
The performance occurred during the introduction of the 34th Super Bowl at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. In the video, Hill wore black leather pants and a matching long-sleeve top as she sang, accompanied by bagpipe players and drummers.
The first and the last time the Titans participated in the Super Bowl was that year. In the comment section, instead of focusing on the teams playing that day, the couple's daughter, Audrey, cheered on her mother, writing "Queen."
Another fan revealed how they got "chills" listening to Hill sing, while someone else described her as "one of the best singers EVER." Someone else said the star's performance was probably the best version they'd ever heard, and another fan felt goosebumps while listening.
Although Tim and his wife have been together for the longest time, there was one particular day he treasured the most. The artist took to social media to share details of the special moment.
Tim Recalled the Best Day of His Life with Faith
In 2022, Tim paid tribute to the monumental day on October 6, when he married Hill. The musician took to Instagram again and shared videos and photos of him and his wife throughout the years.
In the background, the soundtrack of their 2007 duet "I Need You" played. The country musician shared his awe in celebrating 26 years of marriage and wished his wife a happy anniversary before declaring his love to her.
The couple's friends and family filled the comment section with good wishes. People like Rita Wilson and Gwyneth Paltrow all left comments for the happy couple, with Hill sharing her Instagram video to commemorate the day.
She wrote how she'd been married "to this man" for 26 years that day. The songstress shared how she'd come across the video she uploaded a while back and thought it would be ideal for posting in tribute to their wedding anniversary, adding:
"I love making my husband laugh, but nothing is more fun than making him do so in public."
Hill and her husband married in 1996 after they fell for each other on Tim's Spontaneous Combustion Tour, where she was the opening act. In the video, Tim recalled how they'd dated for a bit before he asked her several times to marry him, but she kept saying no, with her explaining:
"'I'm not going to get involved with another country singer. It's just not going to work out.'"
However, he persisted and once asked her to marry him while in a trailer at an outdoor music festival where he performed. Tim remembered how Hill questioned the setting of the proposal, but he said it was appropriate.
Someone thought Audrey [McGraw] sounded like her famous mother, while another believed the family genes were strong.
He returned to his dressing room without any high hopes after performing. The "Live Like You Were Dying" singer was surprised to find a message scribbled in lipstick on his mirror that said:
"Yes! I'm gonna be your wife."
Tim revealed that they still had the mirror and that it was "the best day" of his life! The couple not only shared and passed on their love to their three daughters, but their youngest one also decided to mimic them touchingly.
How Does Audrey Follow in the Footsteps of Her Parents?
In August 2022, Audrey, then 20, showed off her singing capabilities in a video on her Instagram page. The youngest McGraw child was seen sitting in front of a piano playing it while singing "Fire and Ice," the 1981 single by Pat Benatar.
Tim's daughter's rendition earned her praise from her family, followers, and friends, including Wilson, who called for more songs! Someone thought Audrey sounded like her famous mother, while another believed the family genes were strong.
In 2021, the youngest McGraw daughter made her acting debut in "7500 OBO," her father's music video, released on the "Here on Earth" album. Besides Audrey, Tim and his wife are parents to Gracie and Maggie.
