Anne Dewavrin Remarried after Her Divorce from Bernard Arnault & Experienced Difficult Times Alongside Her 2nd Husband

Anne Dewavrin, Bernard Arnault's first wife, has managed to fly under the radar after her marriage to one of the world's wealthiest men and her second marriage to a consultant who was once on trial.

After nearly a decade of marriage, Anne and Bernard decided to part ways. After welcoming two children, both of Anne's kids have gone on to pursue careers in fashion, and she significantly influenced one of them.

After her divorce, Anne found love again, but unlike her ex-husband, Anne did not welcome any more children. After remarrying, Anne's husband ran into legal trouble, and she has lived a very reserved life since.

Anne Dewavrin Gave Style Advice to Her Daughter

Like her ex-husband, Anne originates from Nothern France and celebrated turning seventy-two in 2022. During her marriage to Bernard, Anne welcomed a daughter, Delphine. In 2013, Delphine was appointed as executive vice president of Louis Vuitton, a luxury brand owned by her father.

Delphine has been on Louis Vuitton's board since 2003 and, during an interview, gave credit to her mother for inspiring her career in fashion. Delphine was a teenager when she discovered her love for fashion, and Anne cultivated her daughter's dreams by offering her style advice.

After growing up and witnessing Anne's taste for "beautiful dresses and suits," Delphine knew fashion was what she wanted to do. Aside from clothes, Delphine grew up in a musically gifted family. Delphine began playing the piano by the time she was five until her early 20s when she decided to stop. The rest of her family continued with their musical skills. She said:

"My family are very talented at music. My father is very good."

Anne and Bernard’s Marriage Lasted 17 Years

After Anne's ex-husband graduated from an engineering school in France, they married in 1973 when they were both in their early twenties. After welcoming Delphine on April 4, 1975, Anne and her ex-husband had another child. Their son, Antoine, was born on June 4, 1977.

He became chairman of Loro Piana, chief executive of Berluti, and head of communications and image at Louis Vuitton. In 1990, Anne and her ex-husband decided to part ways. In 1991, Bernard remarried Helen Mercier, a concert pianist from Canada. They share three children.

Anne Dewavrin Remarried

Anne and her second husband, Patrice de Maistre, married in 2001. Patrice was a chartered accountant for Deloitte but developed a reputation for running shoulders with the world's elite, such as the heiress of L'Oreal, Liliane Bettencourt. He later became her wealth manager.

The Trial of Anne Dewavrin’s Second Husband

In a case that started in 2010, Patrice found himself in hot water after Liliane pressed charges against him in an abuse of weakness case where he was said to have taken advantage of Liliane to extract money from her. After Patrice assumed the position as Liliane's wealth manager, he also allegedly illegally donated funds to President Nicolas Sarkozy's campaign.

On May 28, 2015, the Bordeaux criminal court sentenced Patrice to thirty months in prison, a $258 000 fine, and ordered him to pay $12.4 million in damages to Liliane. However, the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office withdrew its appeal, and after appealing his conviction, Patrice and Liliane settled. A statement said:

"A transactional outcome has been found, with the assistance of counsel for each of the parties to put an end to the dispute between them."

On July 9, 2010, Anne was spotted leaving her home in France after police searched the headquarters of Patrice's firm. She was dressed casually in an all-white outfit as she stepped onto the streets of Paris with her dog.

Anne Leads a Private Life

Anne rarely appeared before the paparazzi, especially after her husband's trial. However, little by little, family members share details about her life. During a 2017 interview, Antoine and his wife shared that they kept markings in their home that kept track of their children's height, as well as Anne's and their family friend, Karlie Kloss.
