If there is anything Jason Momoa excels in, it is his craft and ability to turn heads when appearing in red carpet events, thanks to his unique look. But this attractive Hawaiian native is also family-oriented, and no fame or fortune has stripped him of this value.
While promoting his latest film, "Slumberland," the Hollywood star brought on his teammates, including his mom, daughter, Lola, and son, Nakoa-Wolf, whom he shares with ex-wife Lisa Bonet.

ENews! reporter Francesca Amiker caught father and daughter pitched closely to each other, smiling and sharing their thoughts on the new release. Momoa's declaration concerned the fun time he shares with his brood— holiday traditions, even when the cameras are not there. He maintained:
"My babies and my family are the most important thing. We always go on adventures so we go on road trips. We go wild and go camping around the world."
These adventures are never limited by work, as the doting father finds ways to spend time with his kids. Thankfully, the "Slumberland" shoot site was near home, so he introduced Lola to the set, and in no time, she showcased her unique dance talent.
The 15-year-old made an impression after dancing with a group of friends to Dua Lipa's "Don't Start Now." Fortunately for the teenager, her dad and a co-star fell in love with the routine, so it was added to a dream sequence.
A visibly excited Lola told Amiker, "We were there for most of the time. It was incredible…my dad loved the dance so he put it in the movie." She later commented on her dad's character, claiming he enjoyed "doing Flip because it was so much like him."
Sometimes, Momoa is not lucky to be close to home while filming, causing him to miss the family, yet, thoughts of them keep him going. The actor's kids are the inspiration he needs, as fatherhood was one of his dream jobs. In a shared clip, the "Game of Thrones" star revealed:
"Ever since I was a little boy, I have wanted to be a father."
Jason Momoa Ended Up with His Dream Girl
Despite their age difference, Momoa dreamt of fatherhood and fantasized about Lisa Bonet. Before becoming a star, Momoa had eyes on Bonet, the "The Cosby Show" actress who starred as Denise Huxtables. However, as soon as he watched her on the hit show, he became infatuated.
Although the "Slumberland" star never enjoyed paternal love, as a single mother raised him, he grew up wanting it. When the moment came, he proved himself and has not stopped since becoming a dad.

"Ever since I was like, 8 years old and I saw her on the TV, I was like, 'Mommy, I want that one.' I'm like, 'I'm going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I'm going to get you,'" he said on James Corden's "The Late Late Show."
What seemed like a crush metamorphosed into something admirable. The duo met at a Jazz club while with mutual friends. Momoa dreaded his hair to gain her attention, and it worked. The "The Cosby Show" star introduced herself; it was an exciting moment for the actor who shared the emotions with his company.

Once they grew familiar, Momoa asked her for a ride to his hotel room. That night, the pair stopped at a Cafe to gulp down some Guinness and eat grits.
Bonet's story of their first meeting confirmed that it was not love at first sight, but they hit it right off, enjoying each other's friendship. However, once they visited the Cafe, chatted, and shared a meal, it was a sealed deal. She said:
"In that moment, love came and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do."
Once they decided to be in each other's lives, they proceeded with a family, welcoming their daughter on July 23, 2007, and son in December 2008.
It took longer before they officially exchanged vows. Although some sources claimed they married in 2007, they waited for about a decade before they bore the husband and wife titles.
An insider said they tied the knot in Topanga, California. Another source noted that the couple purchased their marriage certificate from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office a few days before the big day.
Jason Momoa as a Husband and Father
Of all the roles he has played, Momoa's best is his real-life roles as a husband and father. His ex-wife described him as an "alpha male who stands for love and family." Bonet added:
"Jason embodies a rare form of masculinity today – he's a leader; he's generous. Just in terms of charisma, physique, the right use of power, responsibility, work ethic, you can go down the line."
Although the "Slumberland" star never enjoyed paternal love, as a single mother raised him, he grew up wanting it. When the moment came, he proved himself and has not stopped since becoming a dad.
Fatherhood gave his life a new meaning; the actor became concerned with caring for himself and being present for the tiny minions.
So far, his parenting journey has included making his kids open to learning while connecting with them on every level. Indeed, he connected with his daughter and son in the same way. According to Momoa:
"I am really close to both my kids, but it's also different with daughters, it's just way more nurturing. And that's the kind of thing I don't think most people have seen in any character I have played, so it's really nice to be able to do that in this movie — be a softer father and show that side of me."
Amid his quest for a seamless bond, the Hawaiian native has some convictions about his children following his career path. Momoa intends to keep them grounded and would not be quick to encourage their passion for acting.
Another of his fears centers around not always being available for his family, especially when he gets swarmed with work. The doting dad mentioned, "my Ohana - my family. I'm afraid of what I'm going to miss: the laughs, the cries, being able to help them, teach them. I don't want to miss those moments."
Jason Momoa's Separates from His Dawn Love
Although it came as a shock when Momoa and Bonet decided to separate, an insider claimed that their five-year marriage had started to disintegrate before the split. The source noted:
"It's been difficult for them to be apart, and the distance took a toll on their relationship. For some people, it might strengthen their marriage. For Lisa and Jason's marriage, being apart has been a disaster."

Despite Momoa's being the possible reason for their separation, Bonet did not publicly bash her ex-husband. Instead, they revealed their divorce in a joint statement without using derogatory words. The former couple pledged loyalty to their kids, adding that they would guide them with the right values and maintain their spirituality.
Soon after the news, the rumor mills churned that they were back together. However, the "Aquaman" star denied it, emphasizing that they share two adorable kids and would remain family forever.
Momoa and Bonet's co-parenting is top-notch. The duo has remained in their kids' lives while allowing the other to have as much time as needed. Incredibly, there is no bad blood between the lovers who still consider themselves family.
