The lovebirds first crossed paths in the 70s, and then a decade later, they worked together on the PBS film "Lemon Sky." Sedgwick was anything but interested in Bacon. It remains unclear when and how she had a change of heart, but in 1988, the pair walked down the aisle and welcomed their two children.
They have been married for over thirty years, and they have nothing but compliments for each other. The "Footloose" actor believes that his wife's sacrifices have helped him become a better person.
On the other hand, Sedgwick says that were it not for her husband; her career would not be as successful as it is today. She recalls an instance years back when, despite having a career of his own, Bacon offered to stay home in New York with the kids as she took a TV lead job in California.
So many years later, Bacon says they cook, clean, and do many other things together. And there's no one else he'd want to share life with besides her. "Her partnership is invaluable. I found someone I was meant to be with." He adds.
