Jasper Breckenridge Johnson Is a Talented Athlete Who Has No Plans to Follow in Dad Don Johnson's Acting Footsteps

Jasper Breckenridge Johnson has yet to make as much of a name for himself as his famous father, actor, and musician, Don Johnson. But Jasper has been carving his own path in a different field.

Unlike his more well-known family members, Don Johnson's son, Jasper Breckenridge Johnson, is rarely seen in public. Even though Jasper has been trying to keep a low profile, his love of sports brought him much attention.

Jasper seems to be the most athletic in the family. Over the years, Don has been happy to see Jasper's interest in basketball grow, and he has shown his support by going to his son's basketball games.

Jasper Is Don Johnson and Kelley Phleger's 2nd Child

Jasper was born on June 6, 2002, making his father, Don, nearly 50 years old at the time of his birth. Jasper is Johnson's second child with his wife Kelley Phleger, whom he married on April 29, 1999.

Jasper has two siblings in the family. He has an older sister named Grace, born on December 28, 1999, and a younger brother, Deacon, whom his parents welcomed on April 29, 2006.

Jasper is an athlete and has played as a point guard for Santa Barbara High's basketball team. He shared in an interview in January 2020 that his father loved the sport and loved attending all of his games.

He said his father was his "biggest fan." On Don's Instagram, he shared a video of Jasper playing with his high school team. Don showed a photo of Jasper looking competitive on the court, reaching a ball against a rival.

Jasper's most recent basketball game was in the Channel League in May 2021 against Don Pueblos High School. Barbara High won that inter-high school match.

Jasper and his team's victory demonstrates their determination and collaboration ability. For his part, Jasper said he never cracked under pressure and could work well with anyone. His parents watching and rooting for him in every game boosted his confidence. He added:

"My parents have never missed a game and support me every step of the way."

In addition to basketball, Jasper has other interests, one of which is pursuing a career in the business world. He intends to attend university and enroll in a four-year business program.

Don and Jasper are fascinated with baseball and have repeatedly supported the Los Angeles Dodgers. Johnson shared two photos of him and his son watching the game from the sidelines.

They also watch basketball games being played in Atlanta and Los Angeles. In 2016, the father and son went to Staples Center to watch a basketball game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Jasper's Half-Siblings Are Actors

Since Jasper's father is a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, the young athlete's two half-siblings have also become well-known personalities in the same industry.

Jesse and Dakota Johnson, Jasper's older half-siblings, are actors. Jesse's mother was Don's former girlfriend, actress Patti Arbanville, and Dakota's mother was Don's ex-wife, actress Melanie Griffith.

While Jasper has been associated with a famous clan in show business, his future in Hollywood is unknown. He seems more interested in basketball than following in his dad's footsteps.
