He is now a wonderful family man.
The Thanksgiving holidays are just behind us. The festivities have seen many families come together to celebrate, including country music legend Alan Jackson.
The crooner posted a Thanksgiving photo on Twitter featuring his family as they posed in front of a fireplace. The family appeared happy, yet there was something different about the singer.
Fans quickly noticed that Jackson had no hat on. The singer, who has been in the industry for over four decades, had never been out without his hat, and fans could not help but notice how unrecognizable he looked.
One fan wrote that he looked different, while another wondered if it was the first time in 40 years that the public saw him without a hat, adding that he looked nice.
Besides being a celebrated musician, the singer is also a doting father to his three daughters, Mattie, Alexander, and Dani. The three have always been candid about how blessed they are to have the "Remember When" singer as their dad, with Alexander saying Jackson is "every daughter's dream dad."
Where the world sees a great musician and a celebrated songwriter, his daughters see him as the man who taught them to stand on their feet and who is also responsible for their loving upbringing. Alexander says:
"Thank you for raising us in a house filled with Jesus and music, and always making sure we knew whatever our dream was could be our reality. You're the best in more ways than one, Big A."
Alan Jackson Will Be a Grandfather for the First Time!
Jackson welcomed his three girls at the peak of his career, but even that did not waver his dedication to becoming a doting father. Years later, they all praise him for being the best dad.
And now, the crooner is about to become a granddad for the first time! He took to social media to announce the thrilling news, writing that he and his wife Denise were excited about being grandparents:
"Our baby is having a baby. Denise and I can’t wait to meet our first grandson in December!"
He shared the news in July, alongside a black and white photo of himself dancing with his daughter Alexander at her wedding. A second photo showed Alexander with her husband, Sam Bradshaw, whom she married in July 2020.
The family appears excited about the news, and Alexander's older sister Mattie was just as thrilled about becoming an auntie in December. Fans were also excited about the news and took to the comment section to congratulate the couple on the milestone.
One fan expressed her confidence in Jackson and Denise being wonderful grandparents, noting that she could not wait to see the baby. Another wrote: "So happy for your family. Babies are blessings from God."
Alan Jackson on His 43 Years of Marriage
Jackson prides himself in a career that has seen him win some of the industry's most coveted accolades, including the CMA Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, and the Grammys.
But besides his career accomplishments and being the world's best dad, Jackson also boasts of a successful marriage to Denise, which has lasted over four decades.
Staying married is challenging, especially in an industry where divorces are the norm of the day. Still, Jackson and Denise have cruised through four decades of marital bliss and stand even stronger in their union with each passing moment.
The two were high school sweethearts and married at only 19 at the Newnan Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia, on December 15, 1979. The journey hasn't been easy, and they have had their (un)fair share of troubles, including a year-long separation after their third daughter was born.
However, their love brought them back into each other's arms, and they have never left each other's side since. Jackson confesses that Denise has been more than just a wife.
She has also been his most powerful support system and the one he bounces his song ideas off of because she's not afraid to tell him when she thinks a song is not good enough. He says:
"We got a lot of history together now and we're happier than we've ever been."
Jackson admits that Denise has inspired several of his songs, including "I'd Love You All Over Again," which he wrote for her for their 10th anniversary. Despite their previous marriage troubles, the singer is still "Livin' on Love" and enjoying his time with his wife and family.
