Devon Sawa's Wife: The '90s Heartthrob Has Been Happily Married to Dawni Sahanovitch for Almost a Decade
Dawni Sahanovitch and the former 90s teen heartthrob Devon Sawa found love in the early 2000s. Their relationship began during Devon Sawa's hiatus from the acting industry and stayed strong until they tied the knot in the early 2010s.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Devon Sawa now resides with his wife, Dawni Sahanovitch, and their children in Los Angeles, California. The married lovers both have a long-running history in the film and TV industry, but Sahanovitch has transmuted her skills into a different career path.
Sawa began his acting journey in a theatre company before working his way up into commercials. He appeared in small TV parts before landing his breakout role in the 1995 film, "Casper," alongside Christina Ricci. As a teenager, he starred in other Hollywood classics such as "Now and Then" and "Wild America."

Although Sawa is chiefly remembered as a 90s heartthrob, the actor said he struggled to transition from that phase in his career to the next. So, he looked for alternative and edgier roles to play. He starred in Eminem's music video for the hit song "Stan," directed by Dr. Dre, and the 2000s teen horror "Final Destination."
Sawa took a long hiatus from acting; during that time, he fell in love with Sahanovitch. The couple dated for over a decade before taking their relationship to the next level. Today, they're both active on social media and frequently share glimpses of their family life with fans.
Who Is Devon Sawa's Wife, Dawni Sahanovitch?
Not much is known about her background, but the Canadian native was once affiliated with Hollywood as a production coordinator for popular reality TV shows. She's known for the 2011 dramatic docu-series "Village On A Diet," working alongside her mother-in-law and production manager Joyce Sawa.
Sahanovitch also worked on the 2012 dating show "The Bachelor Canada" and the 2008 reality series "Anna & Kristina's Grocery Bag." After relocating to Los Angeles in 2013, she enrolled at The Academy of Interior Design Los Angeles and graduated as an accredited interior designer.
Sahanovitch then founded her design firm, Dawni Sawa Interiors, which is based in Southern California but provides its services – such as home staging, custom furniture design, remodels, and new builds – countrywide.
Sahanovitch said she always had a passion for Real Estate. She credited some of her firm's success to her experience in the fast-paced environment of reality TV production, as she felt it prepared her for an independent entrepreneurial venture. Her mission put her clients and underserved communities at the forefront of her services, as she explained:
"My goal is to design beautiful spaces for my clients that are warm and inviting that will allow them to create a lifetime of memories with their families. My mission is to create a full service custom shop that gives back to communities in need."
How Long Have Devon Sawa and Dawni Sahanovitch Been Together?
Sahanovitch and her husband kept their relationship lowkey. However, in a May 2015 Instagram post, alongside an adorable selfie they'd taken together, Sahanovitch revealed that they'd been together for "12 years and married for 2." The Dawni Sawa Interiors Lead Designer gushed about her beau, captioning:
"I'm so proud of YOU & everything we've accomplished together. You've taught me so much & your incredible drive inspires me daily. I couldn't imagine a day without you in my life. Love you. @d.sawa ~ happily stuck together forever xo."
Last year in September, Sahanovitch shared another selfie of herself and Sawa enjoying a day at the beach as she wished her "one and only" a happy birthday. The couple tied the knot in 2013 and soon began expanding their family.
Does Devon Sawa Have Kids?
In December 2013, "Casper" star Devon Sawa confirmed, through his representative, that he and Sahanovitch were expecting a baby boy the following month. They welcomed their son, Hudson, on January 9, 2014, who weighed 8 pounds and an ounce. Sawa gushed about Hudson, saying he was his little "pride and joy."
With a clever play on words, the actor announced he was expecting a baby girl with his wife the following year in November. Their daughter, Scarlet Heleena, entered the world on March 21, 2016, weighing 8 pounds and 3 ounces. She also measured 21 inches in height.
