As a teen, Arlo Robert's mother, Toni, dropped out of high school to pursue a career in acting. Born in Australia, Toni crossed paths and forged a relationship with Australian drummer Dave Galafassi.

She married musician Dave Galafassi in 2003, and together they welcomed their first child, Sage Florence Galafassi, in 2005 and their first son, Arlo Robert, in 2011. Fast forward to 2022, and Arlo's parents are going through a divorce.

Arlo Was Born on a Holiday

Just like his actress mother, Arlo was born in Australia. His name is said to be a variant of "Harlow" or "hoer hlaw," an anglo-Saxton name that translates to rock hill. His birth date is April 22, 2011, which was also the day of the Christian holiday, Good Friday. Arlo's parents were proud of the day he was delivered and released a statement that said:

"He was born on Good Friday, making it the greatest Friday, indeed!"

Arlo was born into an eight-year-old marriage between his parents; and became Sage's little brother. His parents' wedding occurred in a small Australian village south of Sydney called Berry. Australian actress Rachel Griffiths and her husband, Andrew Taylor, were in attendance.

Arlo Was on Set before He Was Born

Arlo's mother showed her motherly heroics on the set of "United States of Tara" in 2009. Toni credits Hollywood for being accommodating when she could not be 100% present and showed appreciation to the crew who halted the activity on set for her to breastfeed her newborn baby.

She was pregnant with Arlo while filming "United States of Tara." Her commitment did not stop after that series; she returned to filming "Mental" just three months after giving birth to Arlo. Although placing no doubt on the support of her colleagues, Arlo's mother spoke about having to get assistance for her children's care.

The couple acknowledges that they should care for the children they spawned but reach out for nannies when their hands are tied. Their careful attention to the upbringing of their kids keeps them zoned in on what they consume.

Arlo's mother speaks about only allowing her children to watch a specific selection of her films, as she believes they are too young to encounter some of them.

Arlo Robert Galafassi's Mother Wrote a Children's Book

In 2008, before Arlo was brought into the world, his mother, Toni, had released a children's book called "Planet Yawn." This is some of the more children-friendly content his creative parent has brought into the universe.

The book is a "charming bedtime story" that satisfies the childish mind with a mischievous tale about the protagonist, Yawn. It also touches on the significant environmental issues that surround us.

The book is an excellent balance between education and entertainment, a compliment to the mind of Arlo's mother. Australian illustrator Emma Magenta added imagery to the story with her impressive drawings.

Arlo Has Been in Paparazzi Photos since He Was Born

Arlo's family has not been big on publishing images of him throughout his life thus far. The 11-year-old was seen within his mother's protective grip on several occasions from infancy. The boy's pictures suggest that Arlo has a liking for blue.

Arlo was spotted as a seven-month-old baby, serving smiles underneath his baby blue bucket hat. The infant was strapped to his mother's chest, enjoying a stroll with his parents on a sunny day at Venice Beach.

One time, the paparazzi caught up with Toni at LAX airport with her family. Baby Arlo, One-year-old at the time, fully occupied the actress's hands while her ex-husband, Dave, handled the luggage.

Another sighting came in 2014 when the roles were reversed between Arlo, his sister, and his parents. This time the three-year-old was in his father's clutches as his mother pushed his 6-year-old sister around in a stroller that she barely fit into.

From an Early Age, Arlo Faced Family Problems

Arlo's little life thus far has been rather eventful and not entirely made up of sunny beach day strolls. When Arlo was just eight-years-old, he felt the shock of potentially losing a parent when his father was involved in a life-threatening motorbike accident.

On Wednesday, December 25, Toni posted a picture of six ambulance vehicles, sharing the news of what happened. The beginning of the post's caption read:

"Recently, my husband had a devastating motorbike accident. He's now recovering slowly but well. We're so lucky to still have him."

Now that the boy is eleven, he is experiencing the end of his parent's marriage. Toni announced on Instagram that she and her husband of 19 years are going through a respectful divorce.

Arlo is very dear to his parents. His entertainer-parents have been ecstatic about him since birth. Arlo's parents see the protection of their children as a priority and continue to protect them.

The family dynamic is left to be seen now that they are separated. The Australian-born 11-year-old and his 14-year-old sister Sage Florence Galafassi, will be experiencing considerable differences without both their parents.
