Kurt Angle's Second Wife Is Giovanna Yannotti – They Have Been Married for 10 Years Now

Kurt Angle is married to his second wife, Giovanna Yannotti. The retired professional wrestler remarried in July 2012 and has since expanded his family.

Kurt Angle is an Olympic gold medalist and retired professional wrestler who began his wrestling career at seven. He retired in 2019 at 51 and has been inducted into several Hall of Fames, including the WWE Hall of Fame.

Kurt Angle and Giovanna Yannotti Met on a Movie Set

Kurt and Giovanna met in 2009 when they both appeared in "End Game." He starred as one of the main characters, a murderer named Brad Mayfield, while she had a minor role as a customer at a restaurant.

The actress later remarked that fate brought them together because she was not supposed to be in the movie. She had only taken the role because they needed an extra on set at the last minute, and she was doing her best friend's dad a favor.

When Giovanna saw Kurt, she did not know who he was, but she was mesmerized by him. The way he walked in and carried himself piqued her interest.

She also noticed that he was handsome and had blue eyes. Immediately she knew she had to have him, and they soon became friends.

Not long after, he was rehabilitating from his injuries, and seeing as he wanted to remain indoors, she was with him for the most part. Their friendship grew, and Kurt asked her out on a date.

Giovanna Is 18 Years Younger than Kurt

Despite their 18 years age difference, with Giovanna being younger, the couple tied the knot on July 20, 2012. As they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary, Kurt wrote:

"I wanted to wish my beautiful wife Giovanna a very happy 10th wedding Anniversary today. You're the most amazing wife and mother, and you have made me a better man, husband, and father."

He proclaimed his love for his wife, letting her know he loved her more than life itself. The retired wrestler also wrote that they were spending their anniversary in the Bahamas.

He Was Married to His Previous Wife for 10 Years Too

Long before his 2012 marriage, Kurt was married to Karen Smedley in 1998. Their marriage lasted for ten years, and they had two children before their divorce in late 2008.

Their daughter Kyra Angle was born on December 2, 2002, while their son, Kody Angle, was born on October 26, 2006. After they finalized their divorce, Karen began dating another wrestler.

Her new relationship was not easy on Kurt because she was dating Jeff Jarrett, who was technically his boss. Karen and Jeff's relationship became public in 2009, but sources reported that Kurt knew before the public did.

They tied the knot two years after her relationship with Kurt's boss became public. At the time, Kurt was also dating and married one year later. He has since welcomed three children with his second wife.

Kurt is not the only former wrestler to have been married more than once. The Undertaker, whose first marriage lasted only ten years, is currently married to his third wife. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is currently in his second marriage.
