Nancy Kerrigan's Husband Jerry Solomon Is a Sport Agent and Manager

Nancy Kerrigan's husband is his wife's strongest pillar and has always supported her dreams. Jerry Solomon and Nancy have been married for 27 years, and despite their age difference, the two have a remarkable bond.

Kerrigan was once a contestant on the reality TV show "Dancing With the Stars" season 24. During her time on the show, she got paired up with dancer Artem Chigvintsev. Even though she didn't make it to the finals, Kerrigan was excited to participate in the competition.

During her time on the show, Kerrigan got candid about how she struggled with her confidence in dancing. The Olympics skater champion said that the support of her husband and family is what kept her going in the ballroom.

Kerrigan Kept Her Name after the Wedding

Kerrigan and Solomon tied the knot on September 9, 1995, at the church of the covenant in Boston. Unlike many brides who take their husband's surname after marriage, Kerrigan chose to keep her name after their wedding.

The Olympic champion studied at Emmanuel College in Boston and is the daughter of Brenda and Daniel Kerrigan. Her father worked as a welder at Atlantic Gelatin, a division of Kraft Foods, in Woburn, Mass.

Before her wedding with Solomon, Kerrigan, a professional figure skater, had made a name for herself and won several Olympic medals. In 1992, she won the bronze medal in the winter Olympic games held in Albertville, France.

Two years later, she achieved another milestone and won a silver medal in the 1994 winter Olympic games held in Lillehammer, Norway. Kerrigan is among the most celebrated ice skaters in the US; others include Madison Chock, Evan Bates, Madison Hubbell, and Zachary Donohue.

Nancy Kerrigan's husband is the son of Edward D. Solomon and Roberta Madison. His father was a former chief executive of Shoe-Town Inc, a retail chain. He got his Bachelor's degree from the University of California.

He advanced his studies in international business and obtained a Master's degree from Columbia University. Like his wife, Solomon had a career in the sports industry; he is the president of Stargames, a sports marketing company.

Nancy Kerrigan's husband has been her manager for years. Besides managing his wife, he has also worked with several Olympic athletes. Solomon, a sports agent, has organized and produced many sports events through his company.

Solomon's company, StarGames, is a fully integrated sports marketing, management, and entertainment company based in Massachusetts, United States. The company brings athletes together through tournaments, sports shows, and exhibitions.

Solomon has also produced several of Kerrigan's projects through his sports agency, including the Janet Evans Invitational, Nancy Kerrigan's World of Skating, Nancy Kerrigan Golf Classic, and Nancy Kerrigan & Friends.

In an interview, the mom of three [Kerrigan] said that her daughter Nicole and son Brian are passionate about gymnastics.

Besides management and production, Solomon is also a professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the University of New Hampshire. In 2021, Nancy Kerrigan's husband got appointed as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Spire.

His dedication and commitment to the sports industry got him honored in the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and the Personal Managers Hall of Fame. Solomon was also named among the top 100 most powerful sportspeople and the top 25 most influential people in figure Skating.

The Couple Has 3 Children Together, and Nancy Also Had Miscarriages

In 2017, Kerrigan got candid about how she went through a heartbreaking experience that made her feel like a failure. She opened up about suffering from six miscarriages at the time when she tried so hard to expand her family.

Kerrigan and her husband had welcomed their son Matthew Solomon a year after their wedding, but the couple wanted to expand their family. However, their efforts bore no fruit after a series of miscarriages. Kerrigan reflected on the heartbreaking experience; she said:

"It was pretty awful. You feel guilty. Like, what did you do wrong? It makes you feel like a failure."

The couple then sort IVF treatment; today, they have three kids together: Brian, Matthew, and Nicole Solomon. In an interview, the mom of three said that her daughter Nicole and son Brian are passionate about gymnastics. Brian has big dreams and hopes to someday compete in the Olympics like his mom.
