When she separated from B. Scott in 1989, Annie became a single mother for the first time. However, on September 2, 1990, the "Ghostbusters" star married her current husband, forming a union that provided her son with a family.

Annie decided to give marriage another try because she grew up in a family and wanted to provide her son with the same experience. Her fourth marriage, this time with film producer and director James Hayman, worked like a charm as the producer instantly embraced her and her eight-year-old son. She explains:

"Because right away he loved my son. I had an eight-year-old [Clay, with third husband B. Scott Senechal] when I met him. When you fall in love with somebody who comes into your surroundings when you have a kid already, [they] have to love both of us. He was so willing to do that."
