Chuck Norris' Beloved Granddaughter Became a Fiancée after Emotional Proposal

In June 2022, Chuck Norris' granddaughter, Hannah Norris, shared a photo on her Instagram of her holding hands with Jay Carlile. Jay took Hannah out to a rocky outcrop above a lovely view of the water on Nahant Island, where he surprised her with a romantic proposal.

The pair looked charming in formal attire. Hannah wore an elegant green dress, while Jay sported chinos with a white shirt and a green tie that matched his date's dress. Hannah smiled as Jay took her hands and began his speech in the first photo. He got down on his knees in the second and presumably popped the question.

Hannah struggled to keep her tears at bay, as she could be seen wiping away a few droplets as Jay asked her to be his bride. Hannah ended her Instagram post with a photo of them in each other's arms, smiling broadly at the camera. She mentioned the surprise proposal was made in the perfect spot, saying:

"My favorite person and our favorite spot. I love you and how you love me so much ❤️."

After Hanna said "yes," the pair had an engagement photoshoot at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Jay mentioned in an Instagram post that he took his fiancé to another beach before they went to "[their] beach." Hannah expected him to propose there, but he wanted to wait till they could do it at Nahant Island.

Becoming Grandpa of Hannah & Her Siblings

Hannah's grandfather has always been a doting dad and a loving granddad. Chuck had his first kid, Mike Norris, in 1962 with his high school sweetheart, Dianne Kay Holecheck. Chuck and Dianne married in 1958, but unfortunately, the union didn't last. The pair separated in 1989, but not before they had another son, Eric Norris.

Although Chuck adores all of his grandkids, he shares a close bond with the oldest of the bunch, the newly engaged Hannah.

Chuck also had one child out of wedlock, a daughter named Dina, and when he remarried, he had twins, Dakota and Danilee Norris, with his current wife, Gena O'Kelley (now Norris). The actor also became a grandfather when Mike married and had kids.

Mike and his wife, Valerie Norris, had three children. Hannah is the oldest, and her younger brother and sister, Max and Greta Norris, are twins. Besides these three, Chuck has four other children from his younger son Eric. With seven grandkids in total, Chuck is a busy granddad, but he wouldn't have it any other way.

Although Chuck adores all of his grandkids, he shares a close bond with the oldest of the bunch, the newly engaged Hannah. They spend a lot of time together, and Hannah has shown her affinity for her granddad in multiple Instagram posts. After spending Thanksgiving with her granddad, Hannah posted:

"Thankful to spend thanksgiving with the 'worlds greatest papa' 💕"

In the image, the two are holding each other lovingly while Chuck is wearing a shirt with the same sweet nickname as her caption printed on it. Hannah has shared images of her with Chuck on multiple occasions, and it seems that the two love spending time with each other.

Being close to Chuck as she grew up evidently had a significant impact on Hannah. Like many in her family, she is highly geared toward fitness. Hannah has made a career out of coaching others, and she is employed by Fit Social Club, where she helps others get healthy and stay in shape.

Hannah also visits her granddad's ranch in Texas often to see her Papa. In a heartwarming gesture, Hannah posted a photo of her holding Chuck in a loving embrace while on one of her visits to Lone Wolf Ranch, where Chuck is spending his days in retirement. She captioned it, "Thankful to have the best grandpa I could ask for."
