David Rubulotta Is a Top Manager in One of the Biggest US Banks and Erin Burnett's Husband

David Rubulotta is known as Erin Burnett's husband in the entertainment industry. However, he is a star in his own right as a successful banker and a proud father to three beautiful children.

News watchers know Erin Burnett as the CNN news anchor of "Erin Burnett OutFront," but the journalist has appeared in many other programs as a correspondent and host.

Burnett undoubtedly has an impressive career, and in addition to that success is a supportive husband, David Thomas Rubulotta, who is just as successful in his own field of endeavors.

David Rubulotta Has a Top Position in One of the Largest Banks in the US

After obtaining a degree in Villanova, Pennsylvania, and earning an MBA from Columbia, Rubulotta began his career in finance and worked in the trading area of Lehman Brothers.

He later made his name known to many in the industry as he joined Citibank, one of the largest banks in the United States, where he holds the Managing Director - Leveraged Credit position.

Rubulotta lives privately in New Jersey but owns a New York apartment near Central Park and Magnolia Bakery, where he presumably stays during work days.

David Rubulotta Met His Future Wife on a Blind Date

Rubulotta first crossed paths with Burnett in 2004, when they were set up on a blind date. Recalling that evening, Rubulotta's wife said she hoped he was her date as soon as she entered the restaurant. Fortunately, their love story began that day.

In September 2011, Rubulotta and Burnett announced that they were engaged after a proposal took place the month before. At that time, CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront" had just launched, giving the news anchor several reasons to celebrate.

A little over a year later, Rubulotta married the woman of his dreams at the City Hall, officiated by a Justice of the Peace. The wedding was quite different from traditional ones, as Burnett chose a red dress for the ceremony. She said:

"We're very casual. I love how at [the] City Hall, people came in everything from wedding gowns to jeans. It's so mellow and chill, just how we like it."

Their reception followed at the Atlantic Grill, where the beautiful bride donned a gold beaded gown. Burnett planned the event herself and incorporated Christmas songs, given that it is her favorite holiday. "We thought it would be the perfect time to get married," she said.

David Rubulotta Is the Father of Two Boys and a Girl

Rubulotta soon became a father, welcoming his first child, Nyle Thomas Burnett Rubulotta, on November 29, 2013. Their firstborn son came out weighing eight pounds and ten ounces, leaving his parents undeniably happy that he was healthy.

Two years later, on July 18, 2015, the senior bank executive welcomed a daughter named Colby Isabelle Burnett Rubulotta. Unfortunately, only a little information about her birth is known to the public.

Burnett and Rubulotta's third child, a son, came on August 20, 2018. They named him Owen Thomas Burnett Rubulotta. The proud parents said at that time, "We are all in awe of our baby boy, who is already bringing joy to our home."

Burnett and Rubulotta are one of the many couples whose story began with a blind date. While going on a blind date is common amongst all generations, success stories are rare.
