Rock 'n' Roll artist Jeff Beck passed away on January 10, 2023. His family announced the tragic news via his Twitter account, revealing that he had died "peacefully" after suffering from bacterial meningitis. They requested privacy as they mourned their loved one.

The post garnered widespread heartbreak as many artists and fans took to the social platform to express condolences, including rock legends Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart, and Jimmy Page. In their own touching ways, they acknowledged Beck's impact on the rock 'n' roll industry.

Before his passing, the late artist was still actively making music and touring. His most recent release featured actor and musician Johnny Depp in a song titled "This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr."

Though he remained dedicated to his craft, he was also a devoted husband to his wife, Sandra Cash. Beck never had any children, not even from his first marriage to Patricia Brown in his late teens. The union lasted a few years and ended as Beck's career burgeoned.

Jeff Is Survived by His Wife, Sandra Cash

Beck and Cash had been married for nearly two decades when the musician passed. The lovers, then aged 60 and 40, respectively, met in 2004, and their relationship began sometime that year. They tied the knot at Tunbridge Wells the following year.

Cash and her husband were surrounded by friends and family during their ceremony, along with stars like Sir Paul McCartney. Little is known about Cash's life besides her relation to Beck. Though she largely remained outside the spotlight, she still attended public events with him now and again.

In December 2014, the couple attended the "Elvis at the O2" exhibition at the O2 Arena in London. The following year in March, they were pictured at the "Kindness" book launch, written by Polly Samson, at the 20th Century Theatre.

Several years before, in November 2011, Cash and Beck posed on the red carpet for the "Classic Rock 'n' Roll of Honor" at The Roundhouse in London. Although the couple attended these prestigious events, they led a quiet and peaceful life in Wadhurst, East Sussex.

Their home was even a safe haven for Beck's good friend, Johnny Depp, while he faced his legal battles against ex-wife Amber Heard. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star spoke fondly of Cash and her late husband as he expressed his gratitude for their kindness, saying:

"There’s a couple who very much helped to keep me alive and sane and happy through the weirdness… and that's Jeff and Sandra."

While the court cases in London and the US proceeded, Depp reportedly stayed with Beck and Cash, writing and recording music. After the defamation case against Heard ended in Depp's favor, the actor joined his friend on the Jeff Beck Tour 2022.

His First Wife Was Not a Public Figure

Beck was 19 years old when he married for the first time. It was in 1963 when he tied the knot with a lady named Patricia Brown. The union lasted for four years before the former couple divorced in 1967, coinciding with a promising break into the music industry for Beck.

They never had any children, and it's unknown how Patricia moved on with her life afterward. There are no public records of her background either. Like Cash, she remained outside the limelight and wasn't much of a public figure.

A Lot of Celebrities Paid Tribute to Him

Following the heartbreaking announcement of Jeff Beck's death, British singer Rod Stewart was among the many celebrities who wrote touching tributes to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer. Starting by saying Beck was "on another planet," he continued:

"He took me and Ronnie Wood to the USA in the late 60s in his band the Jeff Beck Group and we haven’t looked back since."

Stewart reminisced on their stage relationship, adding that Beck had been one of the few guitarists who listened to him sing and would respond accordingly. He described his late colleague as "the greatest," thanking him "for everything" and wishing him peaceful rest.

The cool grandfather of nine, Ozzy Osbourne, also tweeted how saddened he was to hear of Beck's passing. Beck had recently featured in Osbourne's latest album, and Osbourne said he felt incredibly honored to have worked with him.

Jimmy Page expressed how much he would miss Beck as he praised the uniqueness of his technique and the apparent limitlessness that was his imagination. He also wished the late vocalist peaceful rest.

Depp hasn't made any statements about Beck's passing since it was announced. However, a source told People Magazine of his devastation and said the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" star had visited Beck at his bedside.
