Gina Lollobrigida's Son Once Battled His Mother over Her Fortune: Who Is Milko Skofic Jr?
Gina Lollobrigida's son, Milko Skofic Jr, asked the court to block his mother's account after suspecting she was being taken advantage of. Their battle in court, which was not the Italian actress's first legal saga, left the mother and son's relationship on a bitter note before her passing.
Dubbed "the most beautiful woman in the world," Gina shot to fame in the 1950s for her highly decorated career as an actress. From dazzling in beauty contests to landing starring roles in hit films and feuding with a fellow Italian beauty, Gina was no stranger to headlines in Italy and worldwide.
However, she was left feeling "humiliated" after her only son joined the list of people after her fortunes when the pair faced off in court for her multi-million-dollar estate.

Milko Skofic Jr., Was the Only Son of Gina Lollobrigida
After meeting her ex-husband, Milko Skofic Sr., a Slovenian physician, the pair married in 1949. Gina had already cemented herself as an Italian acting legend in Italy and was taking the American film industry by storm when her former husband decided to quit his job and become his wife's manager.
Milko Jr. was born on July 28, 1957, in Rome, Lazio, Italy. Three years after welcoming her son, Gina and her family relocated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, before she and Milko Sr. parted ways in 1971 after over a decade of marriage.

Although her marriage ended, Gina was aware of the effect her beauty had on people, and in 2000, she revealed that she was never without a partner. She said:
"I've had many lovers and still have romances. I am very spoiled. All my life, I've had too many admirers."
Although his parents' marriage could not stand the test of time, Milko Jr. has been married to his wife, Maria Grazia Fantasia, since September 9, 1990. In 1994, they welcomed a son, Dimitri Skofic, in Italy.
Dimitri had over two thousand followers on Instagram at the time of writing, and while his grandmother and father's artistry led them to act, he chose to become an artist.

Milko Skofic Jr Once Sued His Mother over Her Fortune
In 2014, Milko Jr. took legal action for control of his mother's estate to be granted to a court-appointed administrator who would oversee her investments and spending. He did so out of fear that Gina was being taken advantage of by her younger male companions.
In 2013, Gina made headlines after she claimed her then-boyfriend, Spanish businessman Javier Rigau y Rafols, paid someone to act as her during a wedding in 2010. She said, "I knew nothing about this... he invented a false document to carry out this wedding, and now he will pay."

While Javier claimed the marriage was valid, newspapers reported that Milko Jr. was concerned about his mother due to the company she kept. He said:
"My mother needs an administrator– I fear she may no longer be capable of handling her affairs by herself."
Gina owned properly in Italy and Monte Carlo and had a jewelry collection worth millions, which was revealed after she auctioned a few of them at a charity event.
As Milko Jr. believed that his mother was "vulnerable to exploitation," the Italian Supreme Court granted a block on Gina's assets. The "Solomon and Sheba" actress admitted to feeling "humiliated" by her son's actions and wished she would be allowed to die in peace.

In July 2014, Gina won the case against her son after a judge in Rome rejected her son's request for his mother's estate to be managed by a court-appointed administrator, as Gina was found capable of handling her own finances.
