Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu Had an Intense Romance with Santiago Amigorena
At 17, Leroy-Beaulieu fell in love with Santiago Amigorena, an Argentinian-born pupil in her high school a year younger than her. Amigorena made a name in the French film industry as a screenwriter, actor, and producer.
According to a news report from 2006, the actress returned all correspondence and other pieces her former lover wrote her. In his 2014 memoir, "Le Premier Amour" ("The First Love"), the French- Argentinian filmmaker wrote about their youthful dalliance and painful breakup.
He married and started a family with actress Julie Gayet. A few years after their divorce, Gayet began dating François Hollande, then the president of France, in January 2014. Amigorena dismissed Hollande as "a clown." The filmmaker has dated Juliette Binoche and is now with screenwriter Marion Quantin, with whom he has one child.

The actress who plays Lily Collins' boss in "Emily in Paris" has a love life that could seem as unconventional as her character's to the American sensibility, only much less messy.
Her reality of being an unwed mother was far less comical.
Leroy-Beaulieu has long been involved with documentary filmmaker Richard Bean, though it is unclear if the lovers are still together. They share an adult daughter, Taïs Bean. The parents of one never got married.
While filming the Netflix series, Leroy-Beaulieu stays in character and does not mingle on set until the wrap party, when she stays up dancing until 4:30 a.m. The actress has stated that she does not identify as a feminist in the sense that she is "at war with men." She said:
“I like it when men try to seduce. Some do it nicely, some don’t. At least you have a choice.”

Taïs Bean, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu's Daughter, Is a Talented Artist
Leroy-Beaulieu's breakthrough role was as a single mother in the 1985 comedy "Trois Hommes et un Couffin." Though a hit in France, the concept only found success in the U.S. as a remake that she was not involved in, "Three Men and a Baby," with Ted Danson, Steve Guttenberg, and Tom Selleck.
Her reality of being an unwed mother was far less comical. Taïs shared a long love letter praising her mother, "a queen," for creating "beauty and warmth" wherever they lived and succeeding in an industry that was not set up to accommodate older actresses. She said:
"We've had hard times and wonderful times but whatever happened, she'd always seek truth within herself, she'd give me unconditional love, [...] and she'd courageously face herself and every single situation that would come her way."
Taïs is a multimedia, multidisciplinary artist expressing herself through drawing, singing, sculpture, photography, writing, and music. Per her website, her work is "informed by alchemy, art therapy, Mythology, regenerative agriculture, [and} holistic herbalism..."
The London-based artist has exhibited her varied body of work in London, Milano, Paris, Berlin, and Marrakech. The Frenchwoman is the creative director of Terra Meera in Dalmatia, Croatia.
