Asalia Nazario is a mother to a famous actress. Zoe Saldana's mother has been instrumental in her career, but interestingly, there was a time she confused her daughter for another actress.

Nazario's daughter surprised her fans during an interview with talk show host James Corden when she said her mother confused her with actress Thandiwe Newton.

Nazario's daughter revealed her mother was convinced she starred in the 2016 sci-fi series "Westworld," which she did not. It was her look-alike Newton who played Maeve Millay in the series. Nazario is Dominican by descent, but she became a U.S. citizen at a young age when she and her mother relocated to the U.S. in 1961.
