Kristopher Gifford Is a Graphic Designer and Vinessa Shaw's Husband

While his wife has achieved success in front of the camera, Kristopher Gifford, Vinessa Shaw's husband, has spent years behind the camera in the art department. The happily married couple has celebrated many years of marriage and welcomed a child along the way.

After finding his passion for design, Gifford relocated to Los Angeles and kickstarted a successful career that has seen him work on projects such as "Deepwater Horizon," "Fantastic Four," and "Space Jam: A New Legacy."

Off the set, Gifford is a loving family man. While it is unclear when he met Shaw, the couple has seen over ten years go by together and welcomed a son. However, Shaw revealed it was not an easy process as her delivery was filled with complications.

Kristopher Gifford Also Works in the Film Industry but Not as an Actor

After studying Ceramic Design, Gifford went on to obtain his Honors in 2000 at Central Saint Martins in London. His earlier projects include a magnetic ring holder that was later showcased at shows in Europe.

His work saw him travel around Europe, including Sweden, where he worked in a ceramic studio and created an installation for Nike. However, his shift to the world of film came in the 2000s. Gifford said:

"My transition to the Motion Picture Industry came in 2004 when I had the chance to work in Morocco on the Ridley Scott film 'Kingdom of Heaven' in the Set Decorating department. I caught the bug and never looked back."

Since then, Gifford hit the ground running, with one of his earliest roles in film being an art department assistant for "Kingdom of Heaven." By 2007, Gifford had worked on "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," as well as "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."

Kristopher Gifford Is an Outdoor Guy

Outside work, Gifford is an outdoorsman and often takes to Instagram to document his excursions in nature. In 2016, Shaw was his plus-one as the couple enjoyed the views from a mountainside.

The following year, Gifford took a walk on the wild side and posted a clip of himself mountain biking. His enthusiasm for the outdoors continued in 2022 when he shared a video that captured the beautiful view of a flowing river in the mountains.

In 2017, Shaw took to Instagram to celebrate her marriage with Gifford in honor of their 10th wedding anniversary. She then revealed they had accidentally celebrated the milestone twice.

As the couple smiled into the camera in a photo, Shaw shared in the caption that they had celebrated ten years of marriage when it had only been nine. After her mother caught the mistake, Shaw honored their actual 10th anniversary on Instagram and wrote:

"My love, I love you more now than I did at our last 10th anniversary, especially with our new addition on the way! Thank you for making me laugh and love a lot harder."

Kristopher Gifford Is the Father of Vinessa Shaw's Baby

In August 2017, Shaw announced that she and Gifford were expecting with a "Hocus Pocus"-themed— one of her most well-known projects co-starring Bette Midler, Thora Birch, Sean Murray, and Sarah Jessica Parker—post that featured a pregnancy test.

The post received over four thousand likes at the time of writing, as fans and celebrities took to her comments section to share congratulatory messages. Shaw and Gifford's son, Jack, was born two and a half weeks after his due date on February 20, 2018.

Shaw posted a colorless picture of her fingers gripping his little foot, revealing that her labor had taken longer than expected due to complications. She wrote:

"He and I went through a lot, as the plans of having a natural birth were derailed. But with the support of so many people: family, midwives, and hospital staff, we came out victorious, healthy, and happy."

Since Jack's arrival, he has joined his father on adventures outdoors. And on Father's Day in 2022, Shaw shared that little Jack was lucky to have a father who kindled Jack's curiosity and love for the outdoors.
