Kathleen Turner, one of the 90s' most prominent stars, had a remarkable career in Hollywood. In recent years, she has become quieter due to health issues. She also has a wonderful family, with who she is still so close.

She attended the after-party for a play in New York City, where she wore an all-black outfit. She wore a turtleneck and loose pants as her hair was parted at the side. Her makeup consisted of purple hues.
Despite looking happy and healthy while she was on the red carpet, she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 1992. However, fans were unaware of her condition because she kept it quiet.

She said she wanted to remain private about her illness because she feared producers and directors wouldn't consider her for roles if they knew she was ill. She was also afraid to take her prescribed painkillers because she knew how addictive it was. She is now in remission but sometimes gets flare-ups.
Turner Got "Joy of Motherhood": She is Still Close to Her Daughter

Turner has said that she is delighted with her life at the moment and spoke about her relationship with her daughter. She said:
"I love my relationship with my daughter. I adore her, and she adores me. That's top of my list. I'm happy with the friendships that I know will continue to support me."
She said she had enjoyed motherhood and the experience it brought her. She also had a marriage and a separation that were necessary to her life. She has also gone through infertility.

Now that she has become a wonderful mother, she does not need to worry about anything else that has happened in her life. However, she has faced criticism because of her appearance and her attitude.
After turning 60, Turner said she felt like she needn't worry about what other people's opinions of her were. She quipped:
"Do you know what? I don't look like I did 30 years ago. Get over it."

Douglas said that he and Turner knew one another very well. He said that when you know someone well and have developed a great friendship, you have to cherish and protect them through everything.
While Douglas believed he needed to cherish and protect his friend, he, Warren Beatty, and Jack Nicholson made a bet about who would be able to sleep with Turner first. Turner turned all three men down.

As an older woman, she has noticed that women feel they are not taken as seriously as men. However, Turner said:
"But I have found that [life] is mostly exciting."
Turner also says she knows she does not need a man in her life. She said she only found men interesting for a short while. She feels a man is the last thing she needs in her life right now and is content on her own.
