Julia Garner & Jennifer Garner Both Studied Science-Related Majors in College but Chose Acting as a Career
Interestingly, Julia and Jennifer chose science-related programs in their college years but ultimately joined show business as actresses.
Julia studied for her psychology degree at Indiana University. She later pursued her passion for acting at Columbia graduate school, where she did student films.
During her time as a student, she was acquainted with an intern for a casting director and did a staged reading for "Martha Marcy May Marlene." That would later become her first movie role. Julia knew life in the industry would be difficult after her mother, a comedian, informed her of the difficulties of being an actress.
Julia has since become a fixture on television. Most recently, she starred as the titular character in "Inventing Anna." She was also offered to play Madonna amongst dozens of other candidates in the pop star's biopic.
Meanwhile, Jennifer also began her education at Denison University as a chemistry major. When she realized her passion for the arts had overshadowed her chosen course, she left and pursued a career in the industry.
Jennifer's first on-screen role was in the 1998 series "Felicity." Her performance paved the way for more opportunities, including a starring role in the drama "Alias," which won her a Golden Globe award and several Emmy nominations. Jennifer is famously known for her film "13 Going On 30."

On the other hand, Jennifer is no longer married. She previously tied the knot with fellow actor Ben Affleck, and together, they had three children, Violet, Samuel, and Seraphina. Unfortunately, their marriage fell apart around 2015 until their official divorce in 2017.
Despite their marital status, Jennifer and Affleck remain on good terms and successfully co-parent their children. Both have since moved on from their relationship.
