Chris Evert's Children: The Tennis Legend Has Three Sons from Her Marriage to Andy Mill

Chris Evert's children are a source of great pride and joy for the tennis legend, showing them off by taking them as her date as often as possible. She regrets breaking their hearts when she divorced their father for a family friend.

Chris Evert's sons all played tennis in high school under her tutelage. While the family had competitive matches on their court at home, rackets were not the only sporting equipment in the house.

The garage was fitted with a half pipe for skateboarding. Competing is no longer a thrill she chases; instead, she with rather spend time with her treasured trio of boys on a hike.

Chris Evert Has Three Sons from Her Marriage to Andy Mill

Facing extreme disappointment from her parents following the divorce from John Lloyd in 1987, Chris accepted an invitation to Aspen from Martina Navratilova. At a New Year's Eve party in the famed ski spot, she met Olympic skier Andy Mill.

They spent the first day of the New Year on the slopes, skiing and holding hands. The new couple exchanged vows in July 1988. The sporty pair arranged their lives to accommodate their lifestyles, splitting time between Aspen and Boca Raton, Florida.

Their first child, Alexander "Alex" Mill, was born in 1991, followed by a brother in 1994, Nicholas "Nicky" Mill. They completed their family in 1996 with the birth of a third son, Colton Mill.

The tennis star's upbringing was rigorous; there was no room for grey hues in the Evert household's black-and-white structure. She explained the approach she took with the progeny:

"I listened to them; let them talk me into letting them stay up an extra hour at bedtime. I probably could have been stricter, but I'd tell them, 'just do your best.' As a result, they are very kind and loving."

Chris filed for divorce from her husband of 18 years on November 13, 2006; their kids were between the ages of 10 and 15. The former couple claimed it was a "mutual" decision in a joint statement.

Chris Evert Had a Lot of Regrets about Ruining Her Family Life with Andy Mills

The truth soon filtered into the public sphere that she had left Andy for his friend, golfer Greg "The Great White Shark" Norman. Chris and Greg's marriage, which was kicked off with a romantic wedding in the Bahamas in June 2008, fizzled out in just 15 months.

The International Tennis Hall of Famer realized too late what she had in her solid relationship with her second husband, who has remarried.

Her third hubby wanted the jet-set lifestyle, while she wanted a domestic existence with her children. There were reportedly tensions between the kids and their stepfather.

She says the time spent with Andy and their children was the best part of her life, "If I could do it over again, I'd have taken some time to think about what was wrong and try to make it work."

The outdoorsman was the first Mill brother to settle down.

The Grand Slam champ and Andy still love each other, as seen in the birthday message Chris shared with a photo of him holding her in 2021. The couple lived 15 minutes from each other, enabling them to spend time as a family still as they co-parented their children.

Chris Evert's Sons Are All Grown-Ups Now, and One Started His Own Family

The Evert-Mill clan remains a close-knit family. The brothers have been Chris Evert's date at many functions. Colton remains the most elusive of the bunch, his mom's tweet from his prom in 2013 being one of the few public social media posts about him.

Nicky and his father, Andy, co-host a fishing podcast, Mill House, where they also chat with "innovators, legends, and pioneers of the outdoors." He is a fly fishing guide in the summer, guiding big game archery hunts in the fall.

The outdoorsman was the first Mill brother to settle down, marrying Rebecca Mill the first weekend of September 2022. The groom's mother was overjoyed with the match, saying, "So happy and proud of these two."

Former skateboarder Alex who hopes to one day follow in his married younger brother's footsteps was excited to call finally call Rebecca his sister. He is an Invictus Athlete and CrossFit aficionado.
