Cristopher Bacharach Is the Best Collaboration of Burt Bacharach and His 3d Wife
With the passing of his older sister, Cristopher Bacharach is the eldest child of Burt Bacharach, who the composer adopted with his ex-wife and former songwriting partner Carole Bayer Sager. The couple won an Oscar for the "Arthur" theme song.
In Carole Bayer Sager's memoir, she admitted that she and Burt Bacharach were counting on their son, Cristopher Bacharach, to keep them together. They co-parented Cris after their split.
The son of two of the 20th century's most prolific songwriters has a background in sports and now has a successful career on the business side of the music industry.

Cristopher Affected His Mother's Life
Carole and Burt adopted Cristopher, born on December 2, 1986, four years into their nine-year union. Carole revealed she stopped self-medicating with cannabis when they brought the baby boy home:
“He was so beautiful, so pure. The idea of being in a marijuana-induced state felt all wrong to me.”
Elizabeth Taylor, his godmother, consoled his mom when she and Burt divorced in 1991 when he was five years old. When Carole remarried five years later to Bob Daly, the then ten-year-old walked his mom down the aisle.

A day after her second husband's death on February 8, 2023, Carole sent condolences to his widow Jane Hansen and their kids, Oliver and Raleigh Bacharach. She thanked the public for "the outpouring of love" she had Cristopher received.

The memoirist wished Burt a peaceful rest, "Knowing how much your brilliant music touched the world and how much your life touched ours." She said in a 2016 interview that Burt was a very "good dad" to their son.
Cristopher Is a Digital Specialist
Cristopher studied philosophy and sociology at the University of San Francisco between 2004 and 2005. He did his bachelor's degree in sociology at Chapman University in Orange, California, from 2005 to 2008, playing soccer at both schools.
Straight out of college, he became the community relations/fan development coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks for two years. He would later work as a youth development manager for another sports team in the city, Seattle Sounders FC, between March 2013 and March 2015
Between his stints in the sports world, he was a rights administrator at Warner Chappell Music and worked in domestic TV sales and planning at Warner Bros., a company formerly headed by his stepdad. Since June 2018, he has been the digital rights specialist and innovation associate at Universal Music Group.

Cristopher Bacharach's Private Life
Though highly skilled in social media per LinkedIn, the digital specialist keeps his personal life offline. His Instagram account has been deactivated, and the only information publically available on Facebook is that he lives in Los Angeles and his relationship status is listed as "widowed" from 2017.

The singer-songwriter dedicated her 2016 memoir, "They're Playing Our Song," to the two most important men in her life, her son and husband.
In the book and on social media, she named Cristopher "by far" the best collaboration she had with Burt Bacharach. "The Stronger Than Before" songstress wished her "wonderful, kind, loving son" a happy birthday in 2018, though she is more likely to celebrate National Son Day online.
The soccer player had his late half-sister's name tattooed on his wrist underneath a heart. Nikki Bacharach, born in 1966, is Burt's daughter from his marriage to Angie Dickinson. Nikki suffered from Asperger's syndrome and took her own life at the age of 40 in 2007.

Cristopher has two more siblings through his dad's fourth marriage, Oliver and Raleigh. The three surviving Bacharach siblings accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of their father at The 50th Annual Grammy Awards in 2008.
