She tweeted that her family had suffered a tragic loss after her brother-in-law and his family perished in a house fire in Brampton, Ontario. The actress was in disbelief and asked her followers to donate to a GoFundMe account they had opened to cater for the funeral arrangements.

Morgan's sister-in-law, Bismah Ali, who organized the fundraiser, said Nazir and Raven were wonderful, young, and selfless people who dedicated their lives to giving their children the best. Bismah said their family was heartbroken and devastated to lose two generations in a blink of an eye.
