Kody Cephus Is Definitely Offset's Son – He Debuted His Rap at Age 6
Kody Cephus is Offset's child who takes after his rapping skills. Kody is being raised in a blended family with his stepmom, Cardi B, and half-siblings.
Kody Cephus is only a little boy, but his future in the music industry may be bright. He is already following in his father's footsteps at a young age.
Offset was undoubtedly proud to watch his second child debut his own song. Then six years old, Kody rapped "Lamb Truck" on his father's Instagram page alongside a video of him and his sister, Kalea, dancing.
Offset also saw talent in Kody and referred to his boy as his twin. The Migos member paid tribute to Kody for his seventh birthday and wrote on Instagram, "You are my TWIN I love you so much. [You are] getting so big on me but I'm proud of you son [sic]."
Kody's Father Dedicated Lyrics in His Song to Him
Kody was born on March 2, 2015, to Offset and his ex, Oriel Jamie. The rapper was 23 then and starting to make a name in the industry alongside his Migos co-members. Compared to his first child, Offset had the means to raise Kody better.
According to Kody's father and stepmother, Cardi B, he inherited many of Offset's qualities. Beyond his high tendency to become an artist, he is interested in and passionate about rapping. Kody sometimes asks his dad to get a music engineer to record his performances.
Kody is also an easygoing child and rarely complains. During a photoshoot that lasted hours, Kody continued to smile and pose without whining from lack of rest.
Kody was born into the spotlight, but his father made him even more known by featuring the young boy in one of his song lyrics. "My son, Kody, he three, rappin' already like me. Ridin' in the car, you don't play me, then he gon' scream," Offset wrote in "Father of 4."
Kody's Father Spent 50K to Get To His Son's Football Game
Kody also has a pronounced social media presence through his Instagram account, run by his mom. However, the profile is dormant, as the last post was from back in 2019.
Instead, Kody gets exposure through his father's Instagram. In 2022, Offset revealed that Kody had his first football game and ran over 30 yards. As a dad, the artist wanted to be present for his son's milestone, even if it cost him a hefty price.
Offset paid $50,000 to ride a private jet and make it on time. Although it was a considerable sum, he couldn't bear to miss such significant moments in his son's life.
Kody's Mother Left a Cryptic Message When His Father Got Engaged to Cardi B
Kody's mother is also invested in her son's life. Jamie, who works at a brow studio, often posts photos with her son on Instagram. However, the state of her relationship with her ex-lover is unclear.
Jamie wasn't among those who rejoiced to hear Offset's engagement news with Cardi. After the "Open It Up" rapper proposed, Jamie shared a snarky congratulatory post to the couple. According to Hollywood Life, she said:
"Congrats to my [son's] daddy and his [stepmother] whom he have yet to meet. Hopefully he at least get an invite to the wedding [sic]."
Kody Has Older and Younger Siblings
Offset and Cardi have since tied the knot and have given Kody more siblings. Kody's older brother, Jordan Cephus, is Offset's son from a previous relationship.
Kody also has a sister, Kulture Cephus, and a younger brother, Wave Cephus, whose photos had fans swooning on social media. Cardi B previously shared photos of her youngest boy on Instagram alongside praises for her husband for being the best father to their kids.
