In September 2011, Danielle Brownlee proposed an idea to her niece, Sophia Grace, and her daughter, Rosie McClelland, to record them while Sophia sang Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass." Danielle pulled out pink tutus and tiaras for the girls to wear for their performance.

When Sophia's father received a call from Ellen DeGeneres' team, inviting his daughter and her cousin on her show, he worried his daughter wouldn't want to go. "But then they also asked for Rosie, and I knew that would make her more confident," he said.

Sophia confirmed his thoughts when she told Ellen that Rosie helped her feel more confident. She delivered a passionate "Super Bass" cover for the audience while Rosie danced alongside her. Much to Sophia's excitement, Nicki Minaj later made a surprise appearance.

Rosie commemorated the moment in a currently pinned post on her Instagram. After being on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Sophia attended the Grammy Awards and interviewed Rihanna and Katy Perry among other stars on the red carpet.

After her first TV appearance over ten years ago, Rosie has committed to pursuing an entertainment career (as has Sophia). According to her bio, she is now an actress, singer, and songwriter.
