In the evening, the actor said his ideal plan would be to dress up and take his date to a nice restaurant for dinner. When it comes to dating someone, Winkle stated he prefers to be with someone who takes the relationship seriously.

When asked about what he considers some of the ridiculous dating rules, Winkle said he found it absurd that some people had rules about not having sex on the first date.

Winkle Has Had Several On-Screen Relationships

While Travis Van Winkle's dating life remains a mystery, most fans are familiar with his on-screen relationships. In the 2014 action series "The Last Ship," Winkle played Lieutenant Danny Green alongside Marissa Neitling, who played Kara Foster.

As the storyline progressed, Green and Foster, who work alongside each other, begin dating, fall in love, and start a family. Before the episode aired, Winkle talked about his role and how he would portray being a father on-screen.

"The Last Ship" actor added that he connected with the role and stated that he saw himself someday becoming a father in real life and admitted that parenthood changed how he looked at life.

Before Winkle landed his role as Conrad in “You," where he played alongside Penn Badgley, he had stayed for several months without working amid Covid-19. So he spent most of his time going to different auditions.

After some time, his efforts bore fruit, and he finally got a call that he had been booked for “You" season three. Winkle revealed that he loved his character and enjoyed playing the role. He also appreciated the opportunity to work with actors and producers he admired.

When Winkle thought everything was beginning to align with where he wanted to be in his career, the actor received another call about the pilot he had been working on and was told he would be filming in a few weeks.

Since he had already begun filming "You," he couldn't do both even though all were terrific opportunities. After seeking advice from his team, he decided to proceed with "You" and is proud of his incredible work in the series.

In Netflix's "You" season three, the power couple Conrad and Sherry (Shalita Grant) were among the survivors. After they overheard Quinn confessing to killing their neighbour Natalie, they found themselves locked in a cage by Joe Goldberg(Badgley) and Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti).

In 2022, Winkle had a scary encounter when he and his dog bumped into a pair of coyotes while strolling. The celebrated actor recalled the incident in an Instagram video and captioned the post:

“Way too close for comfort. Glad my little sweetie is okay. Luckily it went our way today.”

According to the actor, he was hiking with his pet at Griffith park when two coyotes appeared and attacked his dog. Winkle narrated the incident and claimed that one of the coyotes almost got Karen’s leg.

He then explained how he went out of his way and slid down the mountain to scare the two animals away; luckily, his dog wasn’t hurt. As a result, he injured his left leg, which he showcased in the video.
