Although many people have commented on her beauty and undeniably good taste in styling herself, many showed concern for Lattanzi's weight loss.

Lattanzi has talked about her mother being a pillar of support in her life and throughout her battles with addiction and, contextually, in this piece, anorexia. In response to Newton mentioning that she did whatever she could to help her daughter, Lattanzi said all she ever needed was her mother.

As of late, though, the grief Lattanzi mentions in her Instagram post's comment section is based on the loss of her mother, whom she loved dearly. CNN reported the Australian singer's passing and exalted her as one of the biggest pop stars of the 1970s.

The News giants expanded on a statement shared by Newton's husband, John Easterling, in which he revealed that the singer's demise was peaceful as she spent her final moments in her Southern California ranch in the presence of her family and friends.

Newton's cause of death was a lengthy battle with cancer that dates back to the mid-90s. She was pronounced dead on August 8 last year. She will be remembered for her many contributions to entertainment, including her starring role in "Grease" alongside John Travolta, who is currently dealing with losses.
