Ziggy Marley's Son Isaiah Turns 7: 'My Partner from Day One'
Ziggy Marley took to Instagram to celebrate the birthday of his youngest son, with whom he shares a close bond. The Grammy-award-winning singer welcomed Isaiah and his siblings with his Middle Eastern wife, and together they raise their children under a blended roof.
Ziggy and his wife Orly welcomed Isaiah in Los Angeles on March 14, 2016, after which his representatives confirmed that both mom and baby were happy and healthy.
Isaiah joined his siblings Judah, Gideon, Abraham and his half-siblings Daniel, Justice, and Zuri, whom his father welcomed from previous relationships.
Before Isaiah's birth, Ziggy documented the final moments he and his wife shared. "My beautiful wife and I share a moment as she gets ready to give birth to our fourth child today... The things we put our women through," he said.
In honor of Isaiah's birthday, Ziggy posted pictures of the father and son from over the years and shared the sweet message, "Happy birthday to Isaiah, my partner from day one. 7 years."
Since his arrival, Isaiah has often appeared on his father's social media. In July 2022, Ziggy shared pictures of a smiling Isaiah in a woven hat, followed by a photo of Isaiah, his parents, and siblings during an appearance at a radio station.
Ziggy and his family were in the studio to share music, share about their children's book, and talk about "their journey together as a family."
Isaiah again appeared on his father's Instagram account in July 2022 when he served as the "super spokesperson and supermodel" for Ziggy's fashion collaboration with Appaman. In the video, his father's song "Play With Sky," featuring Ben Harper, played in the background as Isaiah endorsed his dad's clothing line while playing with a soccer ball.
With Isaiah's mother originating from Israel and her parents coming from Iran, Ziggy's youngest son grew up in a household with blended culture. His father, from the Caribbean, revealed that Orly and her family introduced him to Middle Eastern cuisines such as falafels and rice.
And he returned the favor by teaching them about different Caribbean dishes and seasonings. "Food really opened my mind about accepting and understanding different cultures. It brings our family together," Bob Marley's son said.
On their wedding day, Orly and her husband had a blend of both their cultural dishes. They also raise their children to understand how sharing food brings families together and to appreciate the traditions of their mixed backgrounds.
